Standing and gazing at the façade is to see a beautiful profile with exceptional stone craft and more. After ascending the steps seven arches comprise the entrance.
Lovely patterns of embellishment surround the windows and a fine bell tower with a clock soars.
Inside is awe-inspiring. Holy images and frescoes adorn the entire space. A marvellous vista along the nave culminates in a grand iconostasis.
A light suffused dome has the Pantokrator as its apex. It is the crown of a panoply of saints in vivid colours.

The amazing church is opposite to the Bank of Greece. While you are on the staircase of the church, you will find mighty Byzantine pillars that confronts the particular Corinthian and Doric ones in the façade of the bank .. This entourage embraces the history of Greece. Located very close from the port of Piraeus, the Metropolis holy church of Agia Triada survived the bombardment of 11 January 1944. It is beautifully constructed on the luxurious Byzantine fashion and it has very special icons of the saints (Katarina and Dimitris are my favourite), chandeliers and ceiling paintings. I highly recommend.

This 1950s modern reconstruction of the original 19th century Metropolitan Church (Cathedral) of the Holy Trinity (which was destroyed in 1944 during the fierce bombardment of Piraeus by the British allies) is among the finest examples of a Byzantine-style church in Greece.
Upon entering the church, one cannot help but feel a sense of the divine, surrounded by the large dome depicting Christ the Pantocrator and the many icons and paintings of Saints and Holy Events.
Another interesting part is the small chapel under the main church and next to it the remnants and objects from classical antiquity, found during the excavations for the building.
Also worth mentioning is that the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus provides free meals and other help to anyone who needs it.
All-in-all, a visit to this church is a must for anyone interested in churches and the history of the city of Piraeus.

The Temple of the Holy Trinity of Piraeus, in its present form, is the second building which founded on the 17th of June 1956.
The first one was founded in 1839 but in 1944 when Piraeus was bombarded by allied airplanes, it was completely destroyed and many citizens of Piraeus were burried beneath it as they had found shelter in it.
It's of Byzantine rhythm, and a huge dome beautifies the center of the building.
I like coming here every time visiting Piraeus because its impossibility fills me with humility and devotion.
