About
In PANTOPOLION we have already gathered and constantly enrich a small treasure of authentic flavors by small producers from every corner of Greece & we create unique dishes, tastes that are lost in our time. We have all the Greek beverages (tsipouro, tsikoudia-raki, ouzo, wines, the best Greek beers, liqueurs), a very large variety of honey, jams and spoon sweets, an extensive range of salty, sweet, fish snacks and above all an excellent collection of cheeses and cold cuts. The shop also serves as a traditional tavern, you can sit in the few tables and taste true Greece at the same prices we sell retail!

Favorite Shop in Athens!
Dec 2019
My vegan wife, mother-in-law and myself just happened to walk by this shop one day on the way to get groceries for our Airbnb. I purchased some exquisite beef for sandwiches on one of our day trips we had planned, and Stavos (hope I spelled that right) let me know that they also hold olive oil, honey, and other tastings. After setting up a time to come back, we were absolutely blown away by how fantastic the quality of the food, olive oil, and honey was! Andreas and Stavos helped make sure we had fun, learned a lot of great information about olive oil, honey, food, and Greek culture in general! We ended the night purchasing many of the oils, honeys, and Masticha products we had tried, and will highly encourage anyone coming to Greece to stop at Pantopolion!!!

The place to get Greek peoduce
Nov 2019 • Couples
Was looking for a place to get some olive oil, olive and honey. The one in town that everyone recommends closes so early hence we ended up here but I’m so glad that we did. The owners are amazing! We wanted to get just 2 bottles of olive oil but there were so many good things that we needed up with a luggage full of produce!! Price was significantly cheaper then those tourist place and amazing choice.

I was joking with the owner about giving us a good price and he has indeed done so. We ended up with probably 9 huge bottles of olive oil, 8 packets of olives, 2 bottles of honey, 3 jars of tapenade and a jar of jam for EUR 130.

DO NOT MISS-THIS IS A MUST
Oct 2019
This was recommended and WOW. Both Stavros and Giannis (hope I got the names right) were there and made us feel like family. This is a small shop that carries so many items it was hard to decide what we wanted. We got some pastas, honey and olive oil plus a jerky-like meat that was recommended.. We then sat down for same food that they recommended and started with a Greek salad and then there was a board with 5 different meats and 5 different cheeses plus bread and other goodies. The meats were very interesting and running the gamut including lamb. But the star was a cheese from northern Greece that was unlike anything we'd ever had, like a blue, spreadable, and I thought they said a cow cheese. This was absolutely spectacular. We enjoyed some wine, a sweet treat. They have seats outside and a few tables inside. This is as I stated not to be missed.

More than a deli

Do not let the classification mislead you. If you step inside you will find two wooden tables and a modest menu. But best to tell the owner what you like. He will make you a tasting meal of cheeses, salads, breads, sausages, olives and wine, and will accompany everything with a story of where the various products came from. A great way to get to know the Greek delicacies. And all that, including a big smile, at really ridiculous prices.

A must for foodies!
May 2019 • Friends
Giannis and Stavros, the owners of Pantopolion, have searched out the best local foods that Greece has to offer: preserved meats, cheeses, wine and other alcohol beverages, olives, various tapenades and marmalades, olive oils, dried breads, etc. In addition to having impeccable taste and knowing their products inside out, they are warm human beings and welcoming hosts! I routinely visit them with large (15+) groups of students. They have organized olive oil tastings for me as well as light meals featuring a smorgasbord of the best that Greece has to offer. They do a wonderful job orienting students to the ins and outs of Greek cuisine. You can also visit them in smaller groups. Just give them a call a day or so before and tell them a price point and they'll put together an amazing tasting platter for you. It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening after visiting the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum!

Amazing place, fantastic food, great owners
Oct 2018 • Couples
This place is a gastronomic treasure in the center of Athens. We felt warmly welcomed immediately when entering Pantopolion. There is a very wide and very exclusive selection of authentic greek products.
Trust Stavros, describe what you like and taste what they serve. The food was excellent, everything was fresh and made with care. Stavros was amazing in explaining about the greek dishes and suggest wine to match the food.
It's worth visiting Pantopolion if you are really looking for authentic greek tastes.

An absolute gem with the kindest ND most helpful owner!!!!
Sep 2018 • Couples
This is an absolute gem of a store. We leave Athens tomorrow and we were trying to find a place to buy authentic Greek food products to take home with us, rather than scrambling at duty free. Starvros (the owner) and his friend that was a customer there, Andreas, were so kind, helpful, informative about the different Greek products.. In just 30 minutes in the store we learnt so much. We left with thyme honey, mastic, olive oil, flavored balsamic and olives... A must must must visit.
Thank you Starvros for an unforgettable experience!

Incredible, Unique Greek Food Experience
Sep 2018 • Couples
The very knowledgeable and affable Stavros and Ioannes guided us on the finer points of extra virgin olive oils and aged and flavored vinegars at their gourmet deli. We stayed and sat at one of the few tables they maintain. We told Stavros we we interested in a small selection of mezes for dinner and he guided us through some suggestions. We ended up with mama's recipe for meatballs in a tomato sauce, pureed fava beans, smokey eggplant salad with onions, and tomato; giant beans in a red tomato sauce with sweet and hot chili pepper which added just a hint of heat, a tomato salad with capers, small pickels, kalamata olives and a slab of feta cheese and finally non-meat vine leaves stuffed with rice, all with a drizzle of EV olive oil and bread on side. They have a selection of homemade sheep or goat milk based ice creams, and we chose pistachio. Not too sweet and very nutty, not like in the States. The price was was so, so very reasonable you will do a double take. This whole experience was miles away from the standard Greek restaurant fare. Seek out this place. We plan to return before we leave Athens to pack away some of their specialty products. There are plans to sell products online in the future, if we are lucky. They source their products from small growers all over the country.

The best foods of Greece all in one shop
Oct 2017
A wonderful selection of cheeses, meats and beers and wonderful home made prepared foods made and served with passion by the owner on site. The gentleman in teh shop can tell you all about his products as he has developed special relationships with his traditional artisanal suppliers. Good value and delight in the Koukaki neighbourhood
