Address
Neighborhood: Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianized Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centerpiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.

Quiet a nice Gallery
Sep 2018 • Couples
We actually just stumbled upon this interesting museum and then found out what a great place it was to explore. So glad we took the time to wander about and learn about more of the museum. Many interesting paintings as well as sculptures filled the rooms. Do wish we could have spent more time though. Gracious hosts!

I was amazed
May 2016 • Friends
Currently there is an expedition of the artist giorgos pantazis. He was very open minded while I commended his art. The place is amazing and they offered me wine and strawberries. I recommend to visit it if you are around, and consider the room to show your art.

Great collection of Art
Dec 2015 • Couples
While strolling down the street of Athens, few meters from the Acropolis Museum we passed by the Technohoros Art Gallery. We were very impressed by the variety of paintings and originality of the collections. At first we were a little bit confused as we were not so sure whether it was a museum or just an art gallery. When we were there they hosted a special collection by a Greek artist with golden cocoons, which we found impressive. The prices seemed reasonable and we were very glad to buy a painting for our collection from there.

A nice visit!
Jul 2015 • Friends
We entered Technohoros Art Gallery by chance without expecting of seeing anything special. Still, from the very first time the full of light place, the innovative paintings and the wonderful little things and jewelers at a reasonable price seduced us. The owners of the Gallery tried and managed to satisfy our taste and our economical abilities. We highly recommend it.

A place you have to visit
Jun 2015 • Business
I did not use to visit art galleries or places like this,so when my friends told me to go there i was not so excited. But now i am grateful because it is a really nice place with so many things to see, interesting modern art and really helpful people in this art gallery In an amazing location really close to the museum of acropolis. I totally suggest to combine a visit to the Acropolis museum with a visit to this art gallery, you will find things to catch your attention. For people who love modern art, this place is the place to be.

A piece of art in Athens
Sep 2015 • Solo
In September, I visited Athens and after Acropolis and Museum, I entered Lembessi street where I found Technohoros Art Gallery. The exhibition of Italian Francesco Moretti was really interesting, but I also discovered the depot, with many artworks of previous exhibitions and handmade jewelry. My favourite painting was the one with Woody Allen and Sigmund Freud where they made an "artistic dialogue". I was informed by the great people of Technohoros that the artist of it is Petros Zoumboulakis, a very famous and recognized Greek artist who has received the "Award of Academy of Athens". The prices were very low in relation to other countries and I am sure that you will find many reasons to visit Technohoros Art Gallery, again.

Just a few steps from the Akropolis Museum, this charming art gallery has all you need for a refreshing visit to the word of contemporary art. A fascinating exhibition program, great events and a rich depot with works by contemporary Greek and European artists.
The lovely owners of the gallery will help you choose artworks or art jewelry from an impressive collection. Athens has a vivid contemporary visual arts scene and Technohoros Art Gallery is definitely one of the places to discover more about it!

A Hosting Smily Place
Apr 2015 • Family
Technohoros Art Gallery, in the heart of the most beautiful area of Athens, below the monument of Acropolis, has all the elements for being a popular destination for anyone who looks for a “breath” of art and creation. Hosting all the kinds of visual arts and referring to a wide audience, Technohoros Art Gallery is the ideal place for someone to be informed about contemporary art. A hosting place with people who smile honestly, a visit which is worth for someone doing for receiving a dose of art and culture.

A small museum...
Sep 2015 • Solo
Technohoros Art Gallery is like a little museum in the centre of Athens. Pieces of art that travel you in different eras, works of unique style, artists with restless minds. They all meet there, in the most beautiful corner of Athens! My visit to the gallery was a relaxing and pleasant break that added a beautiful little sculpture to my art collection!

Art beyond the Acropolis
Sep 2015 • Family
An art gallery is always worth a look. But an art gallery exactly opposite of the Acropolis Museum, which lies beneath the Parthenon in one of the most historic and well-known pedestrian streets in Athens... well, now that is something that seems OBLIGATORY to visit! After hanging around with friends in the historic centre of Athens on a September afternoon, we came by the inauguration of a new exhibition in this rather cute art gallery. The atmosphere was really nice and cosy, so we mixed up with the crowd in a few minutes. The place is ideal if you want to admire modern art, just after all the ancient monuments! Because Athens is not just a historic city... It is a very lively, modern city with pieces of art all around! And one of the best places to realise that is Technochoros! After passing an hour or two there on this afernoon, we came back next morning and we got to know the owners, who are very friendly and helpful. They invited us for a coffee and they showed us around, meanwhile informing us on the evolution of Greek modern art. Surely worth a visit rather on a morning or an afternoon!

P.s. There is also a big variety of amazing hand-made jewellery that the ladies will love for sure!
