Located Within The Ancient Agora
Aug 2019
Basically this is the extensive open area inside the Ancient Agora, between the Stoa of Attalos and the Temple of Hephaestus. There are several pathways which take you past the numerous statues on columns and building remnants, such as the Odeion of Agrippa,, within the garden. It is relaxing to stroll around and it leads to the highlight of a visit to the Ancient Agora, the Temple of Hephaestus.

Only one hero remains
May 2016 • Couples
I want to say excellent but all the figures were removed except for a single one to other museums with no replica representation. The literature says they had sooo many statues they had to retire some sometimes for new ones.

Bring a few back.

Monument to legendary Heroes - Iroon
May 2014 • Couples
This monument is situated on the Ancient Agora of Athens, in front of Metroon, in nice green surroundings, with a shade even in a hot summer day. There is very little that remains of it, just a rectangular base, but with little imagination it is possible to see the whole picture with ten statues of legendary Athenian heroes standing besides each other. Those heroes gave names to ten ancient Athenian tribes. The statues of different contemporary heroes and celebrities were in times added and removed from this monument.
Ticket to the Agora can be bought at the entrance to the Agora, most convenient alternative is a 3-days combined ticket for entrance to most of the archeological sites.
