Our company AthensByBoat - Extreme Divers (est. 1987) is a certified diving center and rib cruises operator. We specialize in organizing private and small group rib cruises for snorkeling, diving or just swimming and relaxing. We organize full or half day trips at the coastline of Athens and the nearby islands. All of our crew members are certified diving & first aid instructors and our ribs are fully equipped in line with the latest safety regulations. We are driven by our passion for cruising and exploring the secret beauties of Athens riviera and our purpose is to offer our guests this unforgettable experience combined with a friendly spirit !

If you're looking for a great experience and an unforgettable day out you've come to the right place! George and Niko make you feel at home,they're very accommodating,fun guys and make you feel comfortable...they really know their stuff!! We spent the whole day out there and did not get bored,it's an amazing experience one we will never forget! Very worth while,definitely wont disappoint! :) :)

This is a perfect place ! George is very welcoming and explained us patiently all the alternatives we had. Everything was serious, caring and nice. We dove with Harry, who spoke French for us. He explained us a lot of things and was VERY fun ! We had the best time 😀😎

From the start, Extreme Divers ensured I got the best bang for my buck! They were 100% professional and showed my a great time in Greece. I was able to explore the waters and also learn a little more about Greece. If you are every able to go diving in the area, I recommend Extreme Divers!

To be honest, 5 stars does not do justice: I would give them a 10 if it existed. I have never before experienced such kindness, such accommodation, such variety of things to see and do, and such thorough knowledge, both of boating and of the sites we visited. George and Nikko did everything possible to make us comfortable, safe, and happy. We are very pleased.

I just love my Sunday diving trips with them. They all make me smile, feel safe and they are always able to answer me any question regarding anything around scuba and the sea. The vessel they use is very spacious and comfortable. Now they are stuck with me FOR EVER!!!

This was the best experience my family and I have had while living abroad. The guys at Extreme Divers made this trip the best possible way to end our vacation in Greece. They picked us up at our hotel in Athens and drove us to the boat and when the day was done drove us back to the hotel. They went out of their way to include all three of my children in the activities and catered to our every possible wish while out on the water and on land. We will be doing this again in the near future with the outstanding team at Extreme Divers

Not only were the views & beach amazing, but the guys at Extreme Divers were what really made this experience stand out. They were so friendly and did everything they could to make our experience the best it could be for us. Really personal touches and just an amazing time.

From my very first scuba lesson to completion of Advanced Open Water certification, and every single dive in between, I have visited these guys for gear, whether it was just to rent a tank or to purchase my own gear. I could not imagine any other shop providing this level of service with their enthusiasm for being on or under the water.
But their phenomenal service doesn't end just with equipment! Prior to the arrival of my friends earlier this summer, Evangelos and George provided professional consultation to tailor a dive trip that was impressive even to the most seasoned diver. Their patience and eagerness to share their love for Greece's most valuable treasure - its waters - is truly evident in everything they do.
The professionalism, friendliness, flexibility, and attention to detail and safety (above all) displayed by Evangelos, George, Nikos, Chris, and Leonidas is what makes Extreme Divers and Athens By Boat the only dive shop/boat service that I'll use as long as I'm in Greece.

As a woman traveling alone through Greece, it is always a bit nerve-wrecking adventuring off with strangers. That being said, the moment I started emailing with George to make plans for a private diving experience I knew I was in good hands! He was so accommodating and more than happy to organize a dive that fit my needs. I could either do a shore dive and call it a day or do a boat dive, which included snorkeling, a trip to a private beach, and a dive. He even offered a plethora of locations to choose from to personalize the experience. I chose the boat dive: snorkeling at Arsida, a stop at a private beach, and a dive at Pothitos. For all they were willing to include, the price was reasonable.
Evan happily picked me up from my hotel in Athens the morning of the dive (an amenity included in the cost) and drove me to the boat. After filling out the necessary paperwork and reviewing my diving skills we set off for snorkeling. The location was secluded and beautiful, not to mention Evan and Nick were great company! Afterwards we stopped for a short while on a private beach and they provided drinks and snacks (also included in the cost of the trip). When I was ready, we prepared for our dive. I was delighted to see they had quality gear for me to use (wetsuit, mask, BCD, and all). The dive itself was very pleasant - Evan had accompanied me snorkeling and Nick (who is very experienced) accompanied me on the dive. While we were under he was great at leading the way, letting me explore, and pointing out fun things to see. While I brought my own GoPro with me, I was excited to see that they both had cameras with underwater housing to take pictures of the experience. At the end of the trip Evan drove me back to my hotel and George emailed me with all the information for my dive log.
Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience with a better crew. Evan and Nick took such wonderful care of me that I wouldn't hesitate to dive with them again or recommend them to others.

George and his crew gave us our very best day in Athens! We expected the snorkeling and swimming to be fun and the views from Poseidon's Temple to be amazing. However, we did not expect the incredible personal attention we received. George went above and beyond when he joined us for dinner in the bay under the Temple to watch the sun set and took us to the best ice cream place in Athens on our way to be dropped off. They also gave us an underwater camera to use to capture all of our fun moments! I would highly recommend this experience to anyone!

Diving conditions mid April ? What is water temperature please? Is it volcanic, limestone, any reefs, have not dove in this area, do you have nitrox? Will be coming from the US.

The water temperature at mid April is close to 16 Celsius,
there are some very nice dive sites where we can have wreck diving, wall and reef diving and cavern diving.
We can supply Nitrox and Trimix fillings to your tanks.

I am a very very strong swimmer if that means anything. Also what would the pricing be for a expedition with you guys to your best location? I will be in Athens from July 15th-20th.

Secondly, we would like to know the exact dates of your stay in Athens so as to let you know of the availability and the rates.
Last but not least, you can scuba dive even with no licence but with a limitation regarding the depth:it cannot exceed 10 meters since you are not certified.

we are very sorry but in order to dive, you need to have basic swimming skills.
On the other hand if you wish, you can have a snorkeling experience with the use of a water sports life jacket.
