Just returned from our second magnificent trip with Greek Seas Charter. Three couples aboard the Saona 47 with Kostas as our extraordinary skipper and Mary, the exceptional hostess and cook. Each day we sat with Kostas planning our journey. Having spent just one week three years ago with Greek Seas, we knew at the time if we returned, it would be for a two week journey. Our two weeks in September and first week of October were, as before, a dream vacation. The weather was perfect; 75 during the day, 60 at night. We saw rain only on our last day while returning to Zea Marina. Water temp was 75. And still hard to believe the aquamarine water is clear to the bottom — depths of 30-40 feet! This year’s voyage took us around the Saronic Gulf: We toured Hydra; Monemvassia; Samptiki; Astros Paralis; Nafpoli (two nights); Sapounakika, Tyros; Septes; Ermonia; Poros; Agistri; and finally Aegnia. Each stop unique. On the way to the evening’s port, Kostas would seek a secluded swimming spot – we all soaked up the surrounding beauty while bobbing in the exquisite sea. Then boarded the boat for Mary’s meal: we had an inkling of what to expect from our previous trip, but Mary surpassed the deliciousness we experienced before. She is clearly a master. Chef extraordinaire. Each meal more delicious and inventive than the one before. When she asked what we would like, we all said, “Anything you make.” Breakfast of fresh bakery, yogurt, fruit. The highlight for me personally was going to visit the birthplace of my Yiayia: Hristovisti in the mountains by Tripoli. When I mentioned the name of the town to Kostas, he contacted Christos Didaskalou’s tour service (CJ Tours & Transfers) to discuss the feasibility of a drive to the village. One of my cousins sent me a photo of my great Papou and Kostas printed it out so we could show it to the villagers. We did locate the remains of my ancestor’s home. A million thanks to Kostas for arranging the trip. It was truly ‘oraia mera’ — a beautiful day. Communication, reservations and continual questions fielded and answered by Austin in New York are excellent, timely and honest. Kostas and Mary are wonderful; the grace and care that they take to ensure the guests are well taken of are phenomenal. We will be back!

We had such a wonderful experience from the beginning of the booking process to the end. This trip was rescheduled from 2020 to September 2021 due to the pandemic. Austin constantly kept in touch with us through out, keeping us posted on travel changes during the pandemic, and helpful tips for a wonderful sailing experience. My husband and I cannot say enough about our Captain Yiannis and our hostess Vivi. Vivi was so sweet, she prepared the most delicious meals, with the freshest vegetables, meats and fish. Captain Yiannis was extremely professional, sailing to many beautiful islands, fantastic swimming holes and recommending restaurants for our dinner meals. Captain and Vivi were so friendly and by the end of the trip we felt like a sailing family. We hope to have another sailing experience with the Greek Seas and would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

We had a trip of a lifetime in Greece thanks to the folks at Greek Seas. The support Stateside was excellent, consistent and very informative. The crew in Greece were fantastic. Leo is an expert captain and together with Vivi, his 1st mate and cook extraordinaire, we were very well taken care of. Highly recommend.

We have made many trips, this was our best trip ever... by far. Six of us sailed for a week with Captain Yiannis and hostess Vivi on the Saono 47 and it was simply amazing. Each morning started with a breakfast, we were expecting continental breakfast, but each day was an cooked meal. The lunches were even more exceptional. We ate well each day, but some of our best meals were on the boat by Vivi. Yiannis made sure that any and all excursions were well planned from a ride up Hydra, scooters on Spetses, and any dinner. He offered us suggestions around anything we mentioned that we may want to do. The trip was tailored all by what we wanted. I would be leaving out a key piece if I didn't also mention the prep by Austin who is in the USA. Leading up to getting over to Greece, he made certain that he had all our information and that we knew what was going on with the Covid restrictions. The communication was first class. This was an incredible experience that we hope to repeat with this company, Captain, and hostess. Thank you for the trip of a lifetime!

This was my second time chartering a catamaran with Greek Seas. This time, I sailed on their newest yacht, the Saona 47, with 5 friends. I asked for our captain and hostess to be the same I sailed with 4 years ago, Konstandinos and Mary. I was so happy that they were both available. You couldn't ask for a better captain or a better chef. Four years ago, I sailed their Saronic Gulf itinerary. It was excellent, but this time I wanted to do the Cyclades. Luckily the weather cooperated and we sailed those islands. Both itineraries are wonderful. The Saona 47 is a great yacht. We especially liked the A/C in the cabins at night, especially since Greece was experiencing the worst heat wave in 30 years while we were there. Mary prepares fabulous breakfasts and lunches daily. Customer service from Austin was superb from start to finish. I can't say or recommend Greek Seas highly enough and hope to do a 3rd trip with them in the future.
