We had such a wonderful experience from the beginning of the booking process to the end. This trip was rescheduled from 2020 to September 2021 due to the pandemic. Austin constantly kept in touch with us through out, keeping us posted on travel changes during the pandemic, and helpful tips for a wonderful sailing experience. My husband and I cannot say enough about our Captain Yiannis and our hostess Vivi. Vivi was so sweet, she prepared the most delicious meals, with the freshest vegetables, meats and fish. Captain Yiannis was extremely professional, sailing to many beautiful islands, fantastic swimming holes and recommending restaurants for our dinner meals. Captain and Vivi were so friendly and by the end of the trip we felt like a sailing family. We hope to have another sailing experience with the Greek Seas and would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

We started planning this trip in 2019 but due to Covid we couldn’t go until this July. It was worth the wait!
Our family group consisted of four 20-29 year old, and three 55+ year olds. When I first started thinking of ideas for a vacation I wanted something in a faraway land, that would be safe, that would be adventurous , and that I wouldn’t have to be the tour group leader.
Now sailing was not anything any of us has done so I was a bit apprehensive. I love sitting next to the water but have never been comfortable on boats. While pitching the idea to the family I pitched it as camping on the water. There were a few concerns about seasickness, sunburn and being on a boat for a week but they figured if I was up for the adventure they could handle it. And everyone had a fantastic time! No sea sickness, no sunburn. If you are considering a sail trip with Greek Seas but are on the fence-just do it! I have absolutely no regrets and doubt you will either.
The entire process was flawless on their part. Austin, handled the booking and our questions quickly and thoroughly. He was patient when closer to our trip the number in our party changed every day for 4 days straight. Our Captain Leonidas was competent and we always felt safe while sailing. We also thoroughly enjoyed his stories and his dinner recommendations were spot on. Our hostess, Vivi, prepared the most amazing meals and we enjoyed sampling the Greek cuisine. They were both super attentive to our needs and yet unobtrusive.
We sailed on the Sylvie Grace, a beautiful Saona 47 catamaran. It was spacious enough for us all to comfortably gather together, or we could spread out in the three different lounging areas. One person was concerned about being able to fit in the shower and bed but found the accommodations to be comfortable.
We enjoyed gazing at the incredible blue water, swimming, and island hopping. We explored Poros, Spetses,Hydra, Ermioni, and Epidaurus; as well as Leo’s “secret place”. Visiting in July meant the water was warm and perfect for swimming. However, it also meant it was very crowded, so we often couldn’t dock for the night but instead anchored off shore and would take the dinghy in to town. Not a problem, but the kids liked it when we docked and they could stay out later, and it was nice to be able to come and go more freely.
This was a great way to spend time and re-connect with our grown children and their significant others. Greek Seas made it easy to plan and execute an extraordinary vacation.

Our private sailing adventure with Greek Seas was a dream come true for our family. It began with Austin Martin, who addressed our multitude of questions via e mail with the professionalism and insight that come with having experienced these trips personally. There were also no unwelcome surprises. And from the moment we stepped onto the boat in Athens, Captain Kostas and Mary put us at ease as they described our upcoming adventure to beautiful islands less traveled. Mary's cooking was off the charts, and between her amazing breakfasts and so many authentic Greek dishes for lunch, we often found ourselves with little appetite for dinner. We were also blessed with calm seas and beautiful blue skies, which made for some of the most restful days we had had in a long time. We'd do this trip again in a heartbeat.

After waiting 2+ years for our trip due to COVID, our group of 3 couples was finally able to sail with Captain Yiannis and Hostess Vivi. What a wonderful experience. Yiannis and Vivi made us feel extremely welcome from the moment we stepped on the boat. We stayed at different island ports every night and enjoy different architecture, landscapes, and food. We loved Hydra due to no motorized vehicles being allowed. We ate like kings with large breakfasts, late lunches, and snacks. We never went hungry or thirsty!! Yiannis let my husband sail every day, which he loved. Vivi was a special hostess with a quick smile and laugh. Her cooking skills were fabulous. Austin kept us updated from the time we originally booked the trip right up until we boarded 2 years later. We would highly recommend sailing with Greek Seas. Thank you!!

Amazing 47ft catamaran for 4 couples and we also had an attendant and a captain . All breakfasts and lunches included as we sailed from one Greek island to another . Kiriakos our captain is experienced and knows the waters and winds , Vivi our attendant took care of our meals , cleaning the bathrooms and looking after all the passengers. We had so much fun , we found a quiet cove every day to swim , explore and have lunch and then in the evening we would dock at a new island for more adventures . The boat was very luxurious, 4 berths and each berth had its own bathroom .

Greek Seas was a perfect charter. We did the two-week Cyclades tour visiting 17 islands for both a midday swim and an evening port of call. Captain K. (Kiriakos) was outstanding in his sailing skill, knowledge of the islands (where to eat and what to see), sense of humor, and flexibility in designing a trip that matched our interests. My wife and I have completed our ASA 104 Bareboat Cruising certifications and Captain K. let us do as much of the sailing as we wanted as well as provided continuing, patient instruction. The Rose Mary was a wonderful catamaran, equipped with the snorkeling equipment and other amenities we needed. We enjoyed our four companions, Captain K., and the options to dine at the wonderful tavernas in the island villages or cook in ourselves. We enjoyed the intimate camaraderie of the Rose Mary; a perfect size for our group. It was also very nice and efficient (no waiting to refuel, for example) to have no additional fees at the end of the charter. Can’t wait to visit again and see more of the Cyclades islands with Captain K.

A two week charter really is the best way to fully immerse yourself in the Greek islands. Thank you for your nice review and I know Kiriakos (Captain K.) had a wonderful two week sailing on our Lagoon 380 with you! We hope to see you again in the future!

This was a trip of a lifetime! My wife and I sailed with three other friends on a catamaran for a week through the Cyclades stopping at 8-9 islands and we had an amazing time. This is the best way to see the islands because you don’t have to keep packing and unpacking your suitcase, hopping on ferries/planes between the islands, etc. essentially your hotel travels with you. The islands were all amazing with great food, swimming spots and cultural/historic things to see and do. Our skipper, Theodore, was the best. Along with being a great sailor and pleasant person, he had great recommendations for things to see and do on all the islands. Our hostess, Aliki, who is simply a ray of sunshine, made the best local dishes for us for breakfast, lunch and snacks/dessert. She was amazing! We highly recommend our crew. The customer service and communication from Greek Seas was top notch as well, especially from Eugene and Alex. We had to postpone our trip one year because of COVID and they were very helpful and flexible letting us know when Greece was going to open to the US again and navigating all of the unforeseen things things that came up before we traveled. We highly, highly recommend Greek Seas Charter Sailing for anyone that wants to see the Greek islands.

We just got back from a week of sailing around the Cyclades, and I cannot describe how fantastic the experience was. There were six of us (my wife and I and our kids, the youngest of whom is 21), and we had an incredible trip. We got to Mykonos which the kids wanted to see, but the highlight was probably on Serifos where we went to a vineyard. Daily swimming off the boat was great - even our worst swimming spot was still in the top 10 places to swim I have ever been. Our hostess was incredible, making great food, sharing her knowledge of Greece, and generally making us feel like her family. Our skipper was the absolute best, and overall made the entire trip one of the best things we have ever done. Austin at Greek Seas was easy to deal with from the start, and worked hard to make sure we got the vacation we wanted. He hit it out of the park. I would do this trip again in a heartbeat.

It’s hard to put into words how incredibly unique, enjoyable, relaxing and extraordinary our experience was sailing with Greek Seas. From the ease of the booking process to the moment we disembarked it was the perfect vacation. We are a family of 4 who spent a week sailing the Saronic on the wonderful Lagoon 380 catamaran (it was the ideal size for us). A friend had recommended the trip but we really had no preconceptions about charter sailing since it was our first time. I would highly recommend charter sailing, it opened our eyes to a new type of vacation. The perfect mix of relaxing, swimming, adventure, incredible food. Our week with Greek Seas was such a wonderful experience that we hope to be back next year if possible!

We ate while anchored in a crystal clear bay (it felt like we were in a movie). After lunch we’d go for a swim and then sail a few more hours to an island where we’d dock near the main town. Each island was unique in terms of terrain, food, stores, and beaches. Thankfully the captain and hostess knew the perfect spots and we found some great out of the way tavernas where we’d even get to know the owners.
The in-depth knowledge of our crew made us feel like we were locals at each island. Note: sea sickness was never an issue because of the stability of the catamaran and we were always in sight of land.
Our vacation with Greek Seas was by far the best trip we’ve ever taken! Thanks again to Kostas and Mary as well as our trip coordinator, Austin, who answered all of our questions.

I would highly recommend Greek Seas Charter as MUST if you are planning a trip to the Greek Isles. Being that this was our first time sailing through the Mediterranean, we had high expectations. Well, after one minute of meeting our captain Yiannis and hostess Vivi, they exceeded them all. We fell in love with the people, the scenery, and our gracious hosts. Yiannis and Vivi made our vacation so very special, the detail placed in everything they touched left us beyond impressed. They took such great care of us- as if we were their own family. The scrumptious meals that came out of Vivi's kitchen were just incredible! We would absolutely highly recommend sailing with Greek Seas! Don't think, just do it! You will not be disappointed.

Hello curious if there is any cliff diving possible from this trip?

Hi Mark, Thank you for your question! During your sail each day you'll have the opportunity to stop for a few hours to swim in a secluded cove. There is definitely an opportunity to cliff dive at certain locations (the captains can help you find locations, but jumping is at your own risk). The island of Hydra also has a nice natural rock formation a short walk from town where you can jump and swim.

That's a great question! July is one of the best months of the year for sailing in Greece. The weather is generally hot (and breezy) during the day and crisp but warm during the evenings. We always recommend bringing a warm jacket or fleece because the winds can occasionally be strong while at sea. We just got home. It was very hot so we were pleased to have packed lots of shorts, swimwear, casual dresses, etc. never wore anything with a sleeve because temps were in the 90s.
