Address
Neighborhood: Thissio / Makriyanni
Named after the well-preserved Thission (ancient temple of Hephaestus), Thissio is blessed with a small wooded park and some less frenetic streets that offer numerous quieter places to stay and eat. Largely pedestrianized Apostolou Pavlou Street runs between the Acropolis and forested Filopappou Hill, well worth climbing for more great panoramas, until it merges with Dionysiou Areopagitou Street. This leads to the up-and-coming area of Makriyanni, whose centerpiece is the magnificent new Acropolis Museum. Opposite the museum is the entrance to the southern slopes of the Acropolis, while the eponymous metro station nearby is at the top of Makriyanni Street, another strip of touristic cafés and restaurants.

This place was so overpriced. We shopped elsewhere and found the same items at half the price. My friend bought a silver ring and then found the same exact ring on Amazon. Don't go here unless you want to pay like overpaying!

located behind the new Acropolis Museum, the quality of the design and jewellery of 14K and 18K quality is incredible. Aside from this section, there are quality reproductions of all kinds, souvenirs to suit best tastes AND the owners & staff are very friendly & helpful. i was there in Spring 2019 and Fall 2018 when i returned to purchase a necklace & bracelet of ancient design. BRAVO Dimitri kai Yorgos!

Dimitrious was professional , courteous and knowledgeable . He is a true artisan and we purchased two very special pieces that he designed and hand crafted himself . Sized a ring for my husband in 30 minutes . Then we purchased a few other special pieces. A true gem found In Athens . I will return certainly . His brothers were very kind as well!

I had spent two days looking for a spot to buy a quality souvenir. Cheap gift shops are a dime a dozen, and expensive antique shops have too little to offer. Hyrda gallery was the perfect in between. They had small gifts in their first room "for you to give your family/friends", but still had a top room for real collectors items. A friendly staff helped us spend an hour or so digging through the statues until we found exactly what we wanted. We got a great deal on shipping and the cost of the statues. If you are a novice collector, not looking for the same old made in china gifts, this is your place.

Met Tony and Dakis and went with them to Hydra Gallery and met Konstantinos and the family at Hydra Gallery, if you appreciate nice things this is a good place to visit. If you love ancient history and nice things this is a very nice place to visit. If you like the first two and lie good people this is a must visit. They really care about people and they love Greece and her history.

The gallery has a mix of tourist-grade items, and also higher-end work in a wide range of prices. They ship anywhere.

Went to this gallery to look for souvenirs and found beautiful hand painted plates and gifts for our friends back home. Staff were friendly. No pressure sales. Gave us fair prices on items. Recommend people to stop and look at this little gem!

Met the owners: Dimitrios and Mike and the jeweler Dimitrios and they are a fun bunch of gentlemen. Super helpful and they have really nice souvenirs without the tourist pricing.
