Marleen (our guide) took us on a private walking tour through the centre of Athens. We visited the best places for typical Greek food and drinks. We started with really delicious souvlaki (best in town), followed by different styles of Greek fingerfood (fishballs, diep fried honey buns etc). Offcourse we tried traditionel Greek coffee and a range of liquers (mastic, tsipouro, koukoudo......) We proceeded the tour with a kind of Greek tapas (cheese, ham, olives etc) and finished with baklava. We learned a lot about Greek food, but also about Greek culture. Marleen is a very nice person, who knows a lot about the city and the country. We enjoyed her company very much!

Jessica is an excellent guide with a deep knowledge of archeology. Very pleasant person with good stories about the two venues. She brought her own iPad with pictures of how some of the ruins were before. Loves the journey

First time in Athens and so glad I did this tour. Our guide, Angelo, was great from beginning to end. He took us on quite a walk throughout the city. Spots that were hidden and gave you a real feel of what the city and the people are like. He really gave us an interesting view of Athens that we appreciated and don't believe would get anywhere else. It was just me & my partner which made it even more personable and intimate. I truly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens on a short trip as we were only there for the day.

We only had one day in Athens so we did the daytime walking tour and the evening food tour. We were the only people on each tour so it made it very personal! These tours really take you out of the touristy places and shows you the heart of Athens. The food tour was so awesome. Angelos took us to all his favorite places and we ate and ate! Ended the night with some authentic greek music!

Our first stop after checking into our hotel was to meet Marlene, our tour guide for the evening. Marlene was warm, friendly and well educated. She took us to parts of the city that we would NEVER have visited on our own. It was the perfect introduction to Athens. Yes, we covered a lot of ground... and hills... but Marlene walked at our pace and took plenty of stops to catch our breath when needed! There was just my daughter and I on the tour, but Marlene made conversation so easy. We didn't feel under the spotlight at any time. We opted to book the after tour dinner. And so pleased we did. Marlene joined us and was happy to order for us, ensuring that we enjoyed some of the local delicacies which suited our taste. I was worried that my vegetarian daughter would struggle in Greece, which I thought was very meat orientated, but the restaurant served the most deliciously fresh vegetable dishes. We loved this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thank you Marlene :)
