We took the "Unexpected Athens Orientation Tour". Our guide, Joseph, was excellent, funny, and highly knowledgeable and passionate about his city, its modern history and culture. The tour, which we took on our second day of five in Athens, really helped us to navigate our way around the city centre and took us to areas away from the classic historical attractions.

The visit of the Acropolis with Anastasia, Francophone Guide, left us with a wonderful memory. In two hours, it brings us back to the ancient and Roman times with magic and humor. Our tour guide Maria was very knowledgeable about history and mythology (working as an archaeologist). We had a very interactive 2 hour tour for our family of four. I’m certain had they done a larger tour they wouldn’t have learned much, so we are very pleased we did this. She knew all the shady spots and we were able to bypass lines and large groups which appeased the jet lagged, overheated kiddos. Highly recommend if you can budget for it.

This was the highlight of our trip. This company went above and beyond to accommodate us. They sent friendly reminders and updates. Our guide was so knowledgeable and made the entire tour entertaining, informative and interactive. I cannot recommend them enough and look forward to booking with them again the next time I am in Athens. Thank you for the most fun and educational experience.

What a great tour! Our family of four took this our first day in Athens as a sort of orientation to the city and the neighborhood around our rented apartment, and we had SO much fun. We learned a lot, saw some great stuff, and had fun and interesting conversations with our guide as we walked. Loved it loved it loved it.

Private tour - Delphi with Demi was wonderful! She was a knowledgeable and enjoyable guide and having the private tour allowed us to have one of the best meals of our trip in a little town. We got to meet a bell maker and tanner too. Delphi is an amazing site and the drive gave us a good view of the area.

We had our walking food tour with Nikos . He was a great guide for this tour. As we walked, he discussed historical things we were seeing. He took us to a variety of places . We visited an olive oil store. The lady was so passionate and proud of her work. On to Greek coffee. Having Greek coffee and sitting on a balcony with Nikos was like having coffee with an old friend. We kept going on for at least 4 more stops. Our main course was so delicious ( he chose our food) , we went back the following evening on our own.
We ended with sweet traditional Greek “ doughnuts”.
Dint miss this tour and if possible to have Nikis as your guide, you won’t be disappointed.
He even sent us some recipes!!

Andreas was an excellent tour guide. I learned so much about modern and ancient Athens and Greece, and how it connects together. It was a long tour but there was so much variety in what we saw and talked about that I didn’t notice the step count at all! Highly recommend!

Did the 4 hour mythology tour with Magda. It was superb. Very well organised - guides were where they said they would be and it was very straightforward. Magda was so friendly and informative and as this was our first morning in Athens we felt truly welcome. I did think 4 hours might be a bit much but we went at a good pace with plenty of time for photos, questions and reflection. If we had been staying for longer we would have done another type of tour - but we will be back!

This tour was informative and the tour guide Christina was the best! Were were able to experience the food of Athens through the eyes of someone who has lived her whole life in this wonderful city. We got to see first hand the shops and restaurants where the local Athenians go to get their daily food needed in preparing these wonderful dishes. We went to restaurants that we would have easily passed by without the guidance of our tour guide. We got to try food from places in Athens that only the locals know about. We felt that our experience was as if we were a local Athenian ourselves and were participating in the daily food routines of this country. It was a remarkable and unforgettable food experience and we now feel that we have made a new friend in Christina. Because of Christina's studies to become a licensed guide of the city, she was able to provide additional information on the history of Greece and the places we visited. My wife and I highly recommend this tour and this tour guide to anyone that wants to experience the cuisine of Athens!

Hi, we visited the Acropole, Zeus temple the Greek Agora including Hephaistos temple with Alternative Athens. The visit lasted 4 hours and was called The Mythological Tour. We were à group of 5 persons : our couple + a Belgian family of 3. It was almost a private visit. We choosed it in French but you can ask it in English. The guide reminded us the Greek history and talked of the main gods. We could ask questions. She was very professional and also very nice. We are very satisfied of our discovery of antique Greece. The visit was complete to our great satisfaction as we think one cannot just look at greek stones. remains without understanding. Alternative Athens are very serious.
