We spent a week in the Cyclades aboard the Albatross. We were a family of 3 adults and 3 teenagers. Rita was our fantastic captain. She was an incredible sailor - we always felt safe. She also knows each island so well and was able to offer incredible insight into the islands we should visit and what to do on each island. I cannot imagine visiting the Greek Islands any other way - we were able to visit 9 islands. Our days were filled with relaxation, swimming, history and adventure. It was a perfect vacation. I highly recommend Blue Water Sailing!!!

We chartered with Adriana and Radu for a four day sailing trip in the Aegean. Brought my daughter and nephew, none of us are sailors. This trip was a fabulous experience.
Adriana and Radu are exceptional professionals in every aspect including sailing the boat, suggesting the agenda based on conditions, knowledge of the sea and islands, and setting up the trip.
Working with them from initial contact 4 months in advance to the day of departure was just outstanding, including everything from agenda, sailing trip questions, preparation and payment. The yacht we sailed upon was exceptional with incredibly comfortable bedrooms for each of us. Each day was tailor made to our timeline, weather, sailing conditions, and personal preferences. I can’t imagine a better experience both in the arrangements and the sailing. The Aegean is so beautiful. We’ll return for a longer trip!!

Our 4 night stay aboard 'Freedom' was such an amazing experience!
Adriana and Radu were very helpful when planning what to do on the islands, they gave us plenty of options whilst having our 'must do's' in mind. Their friendly, easy going personalities made us feel right at home.
My father celebrated his 50th birthday during the sailing trip and Adriana and Radu were kind enough to decorate the boat and give him a birthday cake which was so thoughtful!
A trip we'll never forget! Thank you so much Adriana and Radu!!

Thanks again for supplying us such an amazing trip- your attention to detail and obvious love of your boat and customers was such a pleasant experience! Rita is a fantastic skipper and a wonderful individual, she really enhanced the trip with her knowledge of the area and her passion for sailing.
We certainly got much more than expected and will definitely be back to visit your beautiful islands!

An incredible week of sailing together as a family!!! We love adventure and trying new things and our time with Rita on the Albatross did not disappoint. You never really know how a trip with go when you are planning over emails, but Adriana was quick to answer questions and professional in setting it all up. It gave us the confidence to travel to Greece with great expectations. The islands are just incredible and we could not have been taken care of better. If you love sailing and want to see parts of Greece that will knock your socks off, this is THE way to do it!

An unforgettable experience! My husband and I have traveled all over the world and can honestly say this week of sailing was one of our favorite trips. This had been postponed for 2 years due to covid, so the build up and expectations were high...but it still managed to exceed our expectations! The communication with Adriana was excellent (and over the course of 2 years!) We found a new lifelong friend in Rita, our skipper. She was one of the sweetest people we have ever met and went above and beyond to make our anniversary trip extra-special. She also managed to teach us a lot about sailing and Greece along the way.
If you are looking for an authentic sailing experience in Greece, I would not hesitate to book a trip with Adriana's team. We cannot wait to go back!

I have been wanting to visit Greece for most of my adult life. After a little research, I found Blue Water Sailing, and I am over joyed that I did! Radu and Adriana are the best! They walked me through everything with planning. ie. how to arrange ferries to the embarkation point, what to pack, and every other detail. Once we got there we were off to the adventure of a lifetime!
We were able to choose which route we wanted to take through the Aegean sea. Because it was a private charter, we had the autonomy to do what we wanted (unlike a big cruise line or tour boat). We stopped a new island each day, and each had its unique characteristics. I loved seeing the off the beaten path places, and seeing the authentic culture. We were never in crowds, which was great during the pandemic.
I could go on and on about how great it was, but other reviewers have already done so. I agree with them all! Book this company.. you will not be disappointed.

When I say this was a trip of a lifetime, I am not exaggerating. A review cannot express how amazing of an experience my girlfriend and I had onboard with Radu and Adriana. We sailed for 6 days and 5 nights…..I wish we would have stayed longer! If you are looking for a boat, a crew, and experience, and are somewhat of an over analyzer, like myself, look no further. You will be happy that you booked with Blue Water.
The crew:
Radu and Adriana are two of the most experienced crew you will find. You are in very capable hands when it comes to having a safe, enjoyable, sailing experience. They know the Greek islands like the back of their hands. Not only are you safe, but they were so accommodating throughout the experience. They asked us what we wanted to see, what we were looking to do, and then provided their expert guidance to make sure we got the most of our trip. They are not only incredible sailors, but even better people. They are so much fun to be around, and truly made us feel at home on the Albatross. I cannot commend them enough on how special they made this trip for us.
The boat:
The Albatross is a great boat. The accommodations were perfect for us. It checked all the boxes in terms of comfort, cleanliness, sailing ability, and space. We had 2 choppy days at sea (both coming out and in of Mykonos), and Radu was successfully able to navigate the Albatross so didn’t feel like a pinball at the Aegean’s expense. The rooms and bathrooms were what you would expect for a sailboat. However, they were super clean and were not an issue. I was a bit concerned about that from my last sailing experience on a different vessel. Like I mentioned previously, we felt at home the entire journey.
The itinerary:
As I previously mentioned, Adriana and Radu asked us what we wanted to get out of the trip. We told them and then laid out options for us. The only regret, and I mean only, that I have is leaving out of and returning to Mykonos. This was my fault as they did provide an option to leave from Paros, but my ignorance got the best of me. I HIGHLY recommend leaving from Paros, as the seas are much more friendly, and frankly, it is a better island to explore. Also, if you leave out of Paros, you will have another opportunity to visit another amazing island!
Our itinerary was as follows:
Mykonos - ported out of Mykonos
Paros (remarkable landscape, nightlife, and restaurants)
Schinoussa (170 villagers on the island. Incredibly beautiful and Greece in its purest form)
Armogos (our personal favorite. Highroads and beautiful villages. Such an amazing experience)
Naxos (beautiful beaches, history, nightlife and restaurants. A must see)
Siros (incredible architecture, administrative capital of the islands, great nightlife and restaurants)
Mykonos - returned to port :(
Thank you Adriana and Radu for providing Jacky and I the experience of a lifetime. We will be back to explore Greece with you in a near future!

We are just starting to plan a trip to Greece in late April, early to mid May. We are considering a week of sailing as part of this trip. At this point we are only 1 couple but would invite another couple to join us if we did this. My main reason for writing at this point is to check your availability, likely early to mid May. Thanks, Kate

What is it like in October for sailing?
Adriana_Petrescu

Hi,
October usually has pleasant weather with temperatures around 21-25 degrees Celsius (70-77 Fahrenheit) during the day. Perfect for exploring the islands, enjoying their archaeological sites/ walking the pretty harbor towns as well as swimming/snorkeling.
The sea temperature is usually around 22-23 Celsius ( 71-73 Fahrenheit just like in June) .
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
Kind regards,
