Want to take an adventure that allows you to unpack your bag once and not have to worry about anything else for the next few weeks, then the Albatross is the sailboat you want. Adriana and Radu will make you feel at home the moment you step foot on the boat. My family has NEVER repeated vacations to any destinations UNTIL we sailed with the Albatross. The first time we sailed was 6/2015. Our kids were 10 and 8 at the time. We brought another couple with us for a total of 6 people on board. The berths on the boat were very comfortable and meticulously clean. The galley has a small fridge/freezer and there is a stove and oven should you want to cook. Plenty of storage space for all your food and snacks. You set sail right away and the adventure begins. Everyday was a new island destination and we would stop for a mid morning swim in a secluded cove somewhere along the way. The kids and the adults loved jumping off the boat, snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding or just swimming around. All the gear is already on the boat, just pack your swimsuit and sunscreen. After eating lunch on the boat we would return pull up anchor and continue to our destination for the evening. Before you set anchor or pull up to the dock, Adriana gives you information about the island, the best beaches and points of interest, modes of transportation and even restaurant recommendations. All you have to do is decide on what best fits your groups interests. She makes it so easy you don't need to spend hours combing through books wondering what the best sites to see are. She can and will even call ahead to arrange a cab for you if you need it. Our 10 and 8 years old kids loved the trip so much, as did us parents, that we returned in 2019 and sailed again. Like I said we NEVER repeat trips so we insisted on seeing new islands and ports. Our first 2 week trip in 2015 took us to the Cyclade islands and the second 2 week trip in 2019 we went to the Dodecanese. Our kids were 14 and 12 this time and still loved everyday of the trip, until we had to leave. We told Adriana and Radu to start building another 2 week itinerary for us as we are considering and will probably be back for a third time. Truly cannot say enough great things about this experience. Adriana and Radu will make your trip into a personalized adventure tailor made for your family or friends.

THE vacation of a lifetime.
I had wanted to sail, and sail greece for a while. I did visit three years ago, but it was hotels/ferries.
This is something else.
Adriana and Ranu are the thing. Sea-loving, know the islands like the back of their pocket, always ready to tell you what looks nice to do, where is nice to eat (follow their recommendations, or live to regret it).
"If you don't know where you are going, you will get there". Yeah, well I'm really glad I left it the the winds and our crew's knowledge. Yes, if you really want rub shoulders with the Atlantic City crowd, you can do Mykonos and Santorini. But a day's sailing away, there is this small island (Shinousa, if you must know), your ship will be the only one in port, and three km up, there is this little white-washed town (you never get tired of those). And when the sun has set , you'll find this little restaurant where the chef will come and discuss your tastes, and will serve you one of the very best meals you've ever had (God I don't remember the name for the restaurant, just ask Adriana).
DON'T MISS THIS!!!

Awesome week long experience with Adriana and Radu! The two of them made the trip extra fun cause they're so great. They are wonderful with giving you options for the itinerary based on the weather, give you the run down of things to do on each island, and even have great connections to help you figure out transport on the islands you visit. The sailing is super fun, they definitely know what they're doing, and I wish I could have stayed another week! Also, Adriana goes above and beyond with emailing beforehand and answering all our questions and responding so quickly!

From docking in harbours via secluded bays for swimming to overnight stops in bays with traditional tavernas - all is expertly executed for the best holiday experience. Thank you Adrianna and Radu for a wonderful trip.

We chartered with Adriana and Radu for a four day sailing trip in the Aegean. Brought my daughter and nephew, none of us are sailors. This trip was a fabulous experience.
Adriana and Radu are exceptional professionals in every aspect including sailing the boat, suggesting the agenda based on conditions, knowledge of the sea and islands, and setting up the trip.
Working with them from initial contact 4 months in advance to the day of departure was just outstanding, including everything from agenda, sailing trip questions, preparation and payment. The yacht we sailed upon was exceptional with incredibly comfortable bedrooms for each of us. Each day was tailor made to our timeline, weather, sailing conditions, and personal preferences. I can’t imagine a better experience both in the arrangements and the sailing. The Aegean is so beautiful. We’ll return for a longer trip!!

My three sisters and I chartered this 51' sailboat and explored the smaller Cyclades Island for a week in June. It was the trip of a lifetime!! Rita was our captain: she is a skilled sailer who made us feel so comfortable and cared for. She is also a fascinating individual whose company we enjoyed so much. The sailing itself was gorgeous. And every day she took us to another quiet bay to swim, snorkel, and paddle board. We ate on shore each evening, sampling the Greek food at local restaurants. It was an amazing trip and I highly recommend it to any one, and especially if you can be lucky enough to have Rita as your captain.

Amazing trip - we went on our honeymoon and stayed on the Albatross with Rita. It was the highlight of our honeymoon - Rita was a fantastic captain who really elevated the trip from something that could have been very generic to one of the best holidays we’ve been on. She has great knowledge of all the islands and was able to suggest a great itinerary based on what we wanted to do. Booking the whole trip was also very easy, with Adriana fielding all our questions quickly and accurately. Albatross is a beautiful boat and we were comfy for our time on the boat. Their website is quirky, but I think it reflects the charm of their operation and how it is a small operation without the corporate fluff. Would 100% recommend.

An incredible week of sailing together as a family!!! We love adventure and trying new things and our time with Rita on the Albatross did not disappoint. You never really know how a trip with go when you are planning over emails, but Adriana was quick to answer questions and professional in setting it all up. It gave us the confidence to travel to Greece with great expectations. The islands are just incredible and we could not have been taken care of better. If you love sailing and want to see parts of Greece that will knock your socks off, this is THE way to do it!

Our party of five (all 60+) just completed the trip of a lifetime with Captain Rita. From initial planning with Adrianna to tying up at the dock with Rita at the end of week, everything was top notch.
Adrianna is incredibly responsive and provided comprehensive information to help with the planning and organization of the trip. She and Radu were at the dock when we arrived back in Paros and it was great to be able to thank her in person for all she did to help make the trip a success.
The boat (Albatross) is extremely well maintained and was very comfortable for the 5 of us. She sails beautifully in just about all wind speeds (and we had it all, from less than 5-10 knots to over 25 knots during the week)
We spent two nights on the anchor and the remaining five nights at the dock in each port. Our itinerary was: Folegandros, Ios, Schinoussa, Almogros, Naxos, Syros, and back to Paros. This was mainly based on the winds that week which blew from the south during the early part of the week then switched to northerly. Rita mixed in opportunities to take a midday break for a swim on several occasions, so we saw more islands that way as well. There were markets at nearly every stop which made provisioning the boat for breakfasts and lunch really easy. We ate dinner on shore each night. Also, there were bank-owned ATM’s on most islands so getting cash was a breeze.
Okay, now to the best part: Rita! She is a BOSS! First, she’s a deeply experienced sailor and has sailed the Cyclades for years and knows the waters like the back of her hand. Her recommendations about our route ended up being spot on. Her passion for sailing and her dedication to making our experience the best possible was amazing.
Next, she knows the history and archeology of the islands and relayed a ton of information which made the trip more interesting. She also has a great list of her favorite restaurants at every island, and again, her recommendations were spot on! Highlights: Katogi on Ios, Deli on Schinoussa and Capetan Dimas on Almorgros (where we had the best Moussaka ever).
Rita is energetic, and has a great sense of humor. Other charter companies often have captains that simply drive the boat. Rita on the other hand was engaged with us and made the week way more fun.
Then there are the islands themselves - a wonder. Thanks to Rita, we got to see and do things that we never would have found on our own.
So, our thanks to Rita and Adrianna for making a lifetime dream vacation come to life!

We really had such a wonderful time and the help and advice we got from Adriana and Radu made the trip. We got to see and do so much in a short time. Their expertise in navigating some difficult weather made us feel really comfortable and very safe. We really hope to get back sailing around the islands again and we will be sure to reach out to Adriana and Radu.
Thank you to Adriana and Radu for the amazing hospitality. It was such a pleasure to meet you both, get to know you and experience the amazing life of living on a boat. You are both amazing skippers and hosts. We will miss you and the islands. Take care and we hope to meet again some day soon.

We are just starting to plan a trip to Greece in late April, early to mid May. We are considering a week of sailing as part of this trip. At this point we are only 1 couple but would invite another couple to join us if we did this. My main reason for writing at this point is to check your availability, likely early to mid May. Thanks, Kate
Written November 11, 2019
