A little over 12 hours on the boat and got less then 4 hours on the islands... one stop was 45 min. so much time on a boat in hard plastic chairs. Staff wasn't the nicest either. got scolded because we tried to get comfortable and put our feet up. Lunch was basic and no water. We LOVED the 1st stop of Hydra..very cool.

My girlfriend and I have attended the tour "One Day Cruise from Athens to 3 Islands Aegina – Poros – Hydra" of "Athens Day Cruise" on the vessel "Anna Maru" with the crew of "Hydraiki" in October, 2021. The weather was sunny and there were 25 °C. The driver of the hotel transfer was punctual. The crew was kind and the waiters were attentive for orders. The toilets had been cleaned several times on the trip. There were approximately 100 people on the boat. After the departure of the boat the crew offered tour options on the islands in a combined package which had a lower price than these ones on the website of Athens Day Cruise. So, to book the extra tours online is a worse option. However, there haven't been any security hints in case for emergency e.g. how to react in a case of an evacuation of the boat. On the website of Athens Day Cruise there was the the promise of a traditional Greek folklore show which never happend on the trip. The crew said there have been a law of the government which prohibits any music or dance because of the SARS-CoV-2-situation for already one year. It would be nice if there were any information about that in the booking process instead of the false offer of this show. However, the were no information about the available time on every island in the booking process. A bad experience was the short time of 45 min on the island Poros. It was not possible to explore the island in this time. It would be better to skip one island to enhance the time for exploration. We attended a 50 min panorama bus tour on Aegina with a competent guide and a wonderful view on the landscape. The surprise of a little food buffet to taste some local food was kind. Unfortunately, they promised a panorama bus but there was only a "normal" travel bus. An information or the correct offer for this extra trip would have been nice. The buffet for lunch had a bad quality and was not actually Greek. The fish was raw and not eatable. The extra food in the menu was too expensive e.g. a usual burger menu costed €22. A better way would be to exclude the buffet out of the price and offer affordable food in the menu. The conclusion for us is to recommend our friends to go for their own to some islands with a usual ferry instead of booking this tour for €100 excluded the island trips.

This boat would NEVER be allowed to leave the harbour in Canada. The shot I took was while people are still in line to board. There were NOT enough seats for people to sit, and therefore trying to see over the rails in and out were impossible. I would not have gotten on, but we had already paid. Safety was not their concern and there surely were not enough life jackets for the people on the boat. We did however, enough the sights of the island and the company of the peope we were with.

The pictured vessel is M/V Cosmos. Our vessel, ANNA MAROU, is fully compliant with safety rules. The Hydraiki safety management procedures are certified by the Hellenic Maritime Authorities which comply fully with the requirements of the international ISM (International Shipping Management) code. We never risk the safety of our passengers, thus we would never host more people than our cruise ship can afford. Safety is the most important aspect for us, and we follow all the laws and regulations in order to provide a safe travel to all of our passengers. We regret to hear you did not enjoy the cruise and we wish your experience was more pleasant. At your disposal for any issue that may occur, Hydraiki

I think reviews about this one day cruise are negatively impacted based on the time of year and weather. My wife and I went on this trip with our teenage daughter in late February 2020 and really had a nice time. Yes it was not particularly crowded, which I’m sure makes a big difference. We also had nice weather, though a bit on the chilly side. We only sat outside on the boat for approximately an hour of the trip, but we knew it would be cold once the boat got moving so we had jackets and the girls brought light blankets in a backpack. We were always able to find seating inside on the lower deck in either the front or back of the boat. One recommendation if you are going on this trip and it is cold or raining, is to bring some cards to play. There are tables throughout the boat and we saw others passing the time between islands playing cards and thought that was a great idea. Obviously, if it is warm and sunny hang out on the decks and enjoy the fresh air and open water. We paid the extra $12 per person to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel and it was well worth it. The bus picked us up in front of our hotel right on time. We were picked up first and made several stops so it did take about an hour but we enjoyed seeing Athens. If this will bother you, then you should arrange your own transportation. Once on board we sat inside on the lower deck in the front, where yes there was a sales presentation regarding excursions, but I didn’t find it particularly bothersome. We ended up purchasing the Cultural Tour on Aegina, which was around $29 or $32 per person. There is a bar on board and our daughter purchased some type of coffee drink that she enjoyed. After about three hours we arrived at Hydra where we spent approximately 1.5 hours. We walked around, up and down the streets, and went in several of the shops. There are lots of great photo ops, including the donkeys/mules used to haul stuff (or you can pay to ride) since there aren’t any cars on the island. Back on board we were served lunch that included baked fish and chicken legs, potatoes, rice, green beans/carrots, bread, lemon cake and other stuff. My only real complaint with the entire trip is that nothing was served to drink with lunch unless you purchased it. For $100 trip that includes lunch, you should serve something to drink. We were aware of this so had brought bottles of water. There are people who read these reviews that don’t take the trip because of stupid little things like this. Poros was next, a small island that you should walk up to the clock tower and take pictures, then walk around the shops or buy some ice cream as you are only there about 45 minutes. Then on to Aegina, the largest of the islands. Our excursion took us by bus to the Agios Nektarios Monastery and Temple of Aphaia, where outside we bought some really good pistachio ice cream, and others bought fresh pistachios. Back on the boat there was music and a performance by two dancers of traditional Greek dances. Our daughter got picked to dance with them and enjoyed herself. At the end they taught those that wanted to learn a Greek dance. We arrived back at the port around 7:00 in the evening. It’s a long day, and we were tired at the end, but it was a nice time.

This one day cruise will take u too three beautiful islands located near athens... Hydra,Porus n Aegina..ship leaves as early as 8.00 am in morning returns after nearly 12 hours later. All three islands are picturesque... n will make photographer in you come to life... caution for first timers... people on board will try to sell u excursion options for the three islands... dont opt for them... rather then explore urself... if at all needed go only for aegina cultural tour... food on board is non veggies delight ... veggies take ur food along...
