This boat would NEVER be allowed to leave the harbour in Canada. The shot I took was while people are still in line to board. There were NOT enough seats for people to sit, and therefore trying to see over the rails in and out were impossible. I would not have gotten on, but we had already paid. Safety was not their concern and there surely were not enough life jackets for the people on the boat. We did however, enough the sights of the island and the company of the peope we were with.

The pictured vessel is M/V Cosmos. Our vessel, ANNA MAROU, is fully compliant with safety rules. The Hydraiki safety management procedures are certified by the Hellenic Maritime Authorities which comply fully with the requirements of the international ISM (International Shipping Management) code. We never risk the safety of our passengers, thus we would never host more people than our cruise ship can afford. Safety is the most important aspect for us, and we follow all the laws and regulations in order to provide a safe travel to all of our passengers. We regret to hear you did not enjoy the cruise and we wish your experience was more pleasant. At your disposal for any issue that may occur, Hydraiki

I think reviews about this one day cruise are negatively impacted based on the time of year and weather. My wife and I went on this trip with our teenage daughter in late February 2020 and really had a nice time. Yes it was not particularly crowded, which I’m sure makes a big difference. We also had nice weather, though a bit on the chilly side. We only sat outside on the boat for approximately an hour of the trip, but we knew it would be cold once the boat got moving so we had jackets and the girls brought light blankets in a backpack. We were always able to find seating inside on the lower deck in either the front or back of the boat. One recommendation if you are going on this trip and it is cold or raining, is to bring some cards to play. There are tables throughout the boat and we saw others passing the time between islands playing cards and thought that was a great idea. Obviously, if it is warm and sunny hang out on the decks and enjoy the fresh air and open water. We paid the extra $12 per person to be picked up and dropped off at our hotel and it was well worth it. The bus picked us up in front of our hotel right on time. We were picked up first and made several stops so it did take about an hour but we enjoyed seeing Athens. If this will bother you, then you should arrange your own transportation. Once on board we sat inside on the lower deck in the front, where yes there was a sales presentation regarding excursions, but I didn’t find it particularly bothersome. We ended up purchasing the Cultural Tour on Aegina, which was around $29 or $32 per person. There is a bar on board and our daughter purchased some type of coffee drink that she enjoyed. After about three hours we arrived at Hydra where we spent approximately 1.5 hours. We walked around, up and down the streets, and went in several of the shops. There are lots of great photo ops, including the donkeys/mules used to haul stuff (or you can pay to ride) since there aren’t any cars on the island. Back on board we were served lunch that included baked fish and chicken legs, potatoes, rice, green beans/carrots, bread, lemon cake and other stuff. My only real complaint with the entire trip is that nothing was served to drink with lunch unless you purchased it. For $100 trip that includes lunch, you should serve something to drink. We were aware of this so had brought bottles of water. There are people who read these reviews that don’t take the trip because of stupid little things like this. Poros was next, a small island that you should walk up to the clock tower and take pictures, then walk around the shops or buy some ice cream as you are only there about 45 minutes. Then on to Aegina, the largest of the islands. Our excursion took us by bus to the Agios Nektarios Monastery and Temple of Aphaia, where outside we bought some really good pistachio ice cream, and others bought fresh pistachios. Back on the boat there was music and a performance by two dancers of traditional Greek dances. Our daughter got picked to dance with them and enjoyed herself. At the end they taught those that wanted to learn a Greek dance. We arrived back at the port around 7:00 in the evening. It’s a long day, and we were tired at the end, but it was a nice time.

Okay, I just returned. I am completely at a lost for why there are so many negative reviews. Maybe a difference in season. It is off season, and crowds were smaller. We were able to get seating.... wherever we wanted, at any point. Hydra - little over an hour. Plenty to time. Most shops are closed, or not completely necessary to visit. Take your pictures, sit on the sun and enjoy it. Lunch - we thought it was delicious. No, drinks are not included. Water was 1€. That’s completely reasonable. However, we did bring drinks because we READ AHEAD OF TIME that drinks were not included. Fish was delicious, as was pasta, and salads. Poros- 40ish minutes. Again, plenty of Time. Head straight to the tower, take your pictures and then come down and sit in the sun. Aegina - hour and a half. Plenty of time. If you’re eating there - go straight to the restaurant. We weren’t hungry because lunch was so filling. We went for gelato and sat in the sun enjoying it. There are pretty great shops with pistachio items and mountain tea. Prices are great. 100€ for all of this was a great price. We didn’t go with such high expectations that we were gong to be let down, but we were very pleased. The sun was amazing.

it was so nice to leave the hustle and bustle of athens...it was a beautiful clear day. Our bus was delayed so we were the last to arrive and it was impossible to find seating for 4 but we did find some on the bottom deck, unfortunately this was the smokers area too. Just before we got to the first island ,we did find some seats on the first deck...got to see dolphins too. Arrived at Hydra and it was such a quaint seaside town, went for a walk and enjoyed a beer in one of the many cafes. Off to poros, this is also when we had lunch, so we were thinking we maybe shouldn't have had that snack in Hydra....oh well. Lunch was nice and then arrived in Poros, followed everyone up to the bell tower for the view , had an ice-cream and back on ship. When we arrived in Aegina we had booked a bus tour of the island which took us to a monastary and around the island. Got back to the wharf and had a quick visit to an eatery for some local finger food which was included in our trip. We didn't have a lot of time, but it was only a couple of minutes walk to the ship so it was ok. The local food was very nice. Even though it was 3 islands in a day , it was a nice overview and we would certainly go back and stay at some of them. It was a big ship and you had the chance every time you boarded to get some different seating so that was good. They had a bar on board and the staff were great. It was so nice out on the ocean and we had pina coladas to celebrate the sunset. We had a bus arranged for after the ship docked which got us home safe n sound. Well organised amid the chaos.
