Simple in terms of architecture and "pomp," but definitely elegant, this concert hall is ahead of the game in terms of acoustics. Wagner's Tristan and Isolde" was a fabulous production - the music was wonderful, the sets, the costumes, etc. What a treat it was to attend. I would highly recommend setting aside a night to visit if you can!... More

The Athens Concert Hall is very lovely and being an architect, I love the marble walls. Marble flooring all over. Their architect or designer wasn’t cheap. Very classy look, very elegant. My dad loved the place and the ballet performance. This one is a nice visit especially during the cold season. Just outside the venue is the metro station so... More

Kevin Spacey performed here last year and was blown away with the acoustics. This year I took in a play with much delight. The children could not believe it was a open theater

Beautiful acoustics inside, but nothing special or worth seeing. In line with every 60s concert hall in US cities. Modern, out of scale and place, clashes with the wonderful building that is the US embassy next to it. Too bad the Greeks missed the opportunity to create a modern era monument, one wonders how they feel if they look at... More

Already reviewed as "Megaron" above: it's the same venue! Athens Concert Hall is the English title of the Megaron --please see review above!

It's amazing as a building and the concerts are wonderful! It's easy to be reached because of the metro station, which is almost outside the athens Consert Hall! If you visit Athens don't miss it, read on line the program and find out which one of the conserts you like and go! You will have a great time especially if you... More

Well equipped, dull, double concert - opera auditorium next to the American Embassy. A most expensive and time consuming operation, that was the making of it, with the deepest underground 'well' for the garage. The controversial 'visionary' Lambrakis completed it and possibly misspent the funds in order to create a Bayreuth of sorts. Fine ensembles (symphonic) were traditionally invited. The... More

It's a place where many great artists have performance: Mariinsky Theatre, Jiri Kylian, etc. I have listened to the operetta (a local theatre) and got a great pleasure!
