So much better than local travel agency.

My wife and I were looking into travel with our two daughters and my 78 y.o. mother to Athens and one of the many islands for the first time. We are so used to just going to AAA for travel plans and started there as usual. After getting frustrated with AAA not being able to book rooms for us in... More

I would definitely recommend Fantasy Travel for anyone looking to book a trip to Greece! Our agent, Yana, was so incredibly helpful, booking all of our accommodations and providing guidance for over a year while we planned our Honeymoon in Athens, Santorini, and Crete. I had many itinerary changes over the course of the year, and Yana never blinked an... More

We were in Greece in Late September to early October 2015. With so much to see, the islands, mainland and Peloponnese I decided to use a Greek Travel Agency. After research on the web I settled on Fantasy Travel. They booked all hotels, and travel arrangements and made suggestions based on what I told them we wanted. Looking back the... More

My husband and I have joined two tours in the past three days - first one is 1-day Mycenae-Epidaurus and second one is 2-day Delphi-Meteora. I joined Fantasy because of all the good reviews and didn't realize that the tours were outsourced to a company called G.O. Tours - people joining the tour registered through many different travel agencies. The... More

We spent three weeks in Greece in October 2015. Our trip was planned by Paula at Fantasy Travel; she did a wonderful job of accommodating our (sometimes) fluctuating schedule and making our trip as easy and pleasant as possible. I could get hooked on this being picked up at the airport and ferried to my hotel thing very, very easily.

We spent 16 days in Greece -- Crete, Santorini, Peloponnese, Ionian, and Athens. Fantasy Travel had been recommended to us by an acquaintance who knows Greece well. We are so glad that we took his advice. We gave Eleni a rough idea of what we wanted to do and she turned it into a fabulous itinerary. She was easy to... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
