We offer Athens private sightseeing tours, Athens (Piraeus) private shore excursions, Full Day & Multi Days Tours all over Greece mainland (i.e. Ancient Corinthos, Mycenae, Nafplio, Mystras, Ancient Olympia, Delphi, Meteora Monasteries, etc), transfers from/to all major airport and seaports, business transporation. All of our activities are private ones. All tours' itineraries are flexible in accordance to client's needs. Our fleet consist of new Mercedes Benz cars (4 seater sedan, Mini Van, Mini Bus). Signed up for the tour with a private guide to accompany us into the sites. Apostolos was our driver/guide and he was excellent. He was on time, courteous, and very knowledgeable. Apostolos' vehicle was a Mercedes and was very comfortable and he had cold water for us anytime we needed it. Paris was our private guide and he was well informed but I am not sure I would have hired a private guide if I had to do it over again. Overall, a very good tour that I would recommend perhaps without a private guide.

My teens and I recently had an excellent 5 hour tour of Athens with George.
George loves Athens and and that made our tour really enjoyable. George was very flexible and tailored the tour to us, showing us all the key sites, dropping & collecting us as close as possible to key sites, providing lots of interesting information en route and as it was so hot his air con car was very welcome! Highly recommended to others.

John G from JG Athens Tours provided an amazing experience for my family. The tour was comfortable, fun and very enlightening. He provided an immense amount of information on various locations throughout the athens and pireaus areas that he drove us through. Of all the tours I have ever booked, this was by far the best . John from JG accommodated our tight schedule and combined two tours into one full day 12 hour tour. It was amazing! All the planning via email was easily done and John responded to my questions quickly. The day of the tour George, our excellent driver, arrived 10 minutes early and was so friendly and ready to get going. All during the day George gave us a fabulous Greek history commentary - including videos during transit to Delphi and Cape Sounion. His instructions as to how to tour on our own were invaluable. And when we finished earlier than our meeting time he was there in minutes to escort us to a great lunch spot overlooking the Corinthian Sea. George was an expert at avoiding traffic jams and gave a constant commentary as he did it. We were tired at the end of the day but full of over 2500 years of Greek history. Perfect for our first time Greece visiting friends and entertaining for us on our 3rd visit to the Athens area. The day was perfect as was JG’s efforts. Our thanks to John and George for making our visit to the Athens area a special memory!

We did the 7 day private tour (Argolida, Sparti/Mystras, Diros Caves, Olympia, Delphi, Meteora, Vergina, Dion & Thermopylae) with John as our driver.
From start to finish we had an exceptional time and the whole family enjoyed the trip.
John is very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and always had lots of facts and advice about both the main sites visited and the countryside that we passed through each day. It's clear he is very passionate about Greece and wants to tell you everything about it.
Being a private tour, John is 100% accommodating to the schedule you want, he will suggest what might be best based on his vast knowledge but will adapt to your wishes. Want to spend an extra hour here, fine, want to stop and have lunch now, fine, fancy staying in bed a bit later tomorrow, A-OK.
The hotels selected along the way were good and each evening John would recommend a few places that he knows are worth visiting for a nice dinner. Of course if you want to go for a quick pizza or to a bar instead, it's all up to you. We never felt John's suggestions were more than friendly advice from someone who knows the best places in each town.
The tour was just the right length each day. Clearly the distance from A to B is not it John's control but it never felt like we were too long in the car for any one period and the journey's were broken up nicely. Nor did we ever reach the end of a days driving very late (always in the hotel around late afternoon / early evening each day). Furthermore, the car itself was comfortable and clean (a Mercedes for our trip) and being bright yellow, easy to spot in the car parks after visiting various sites!
John went out of his way to help with everything we needed on the tour and even provided hotel recommendations for our stay in Athens afterwards and we used him and JG Athens tours for all of our transfer needs after the tour had ended (various trips to and from the airport to fly to islands/home).
John is a great gentleman and highly recommended

JG Athens tour was amazing to work with prior to and during the tour. This was the second time in 8 years we used JG Athens Tours and they didn’t disappoint with their professionalism. They customized our tour to what we wanted to see and worked with our time in port. The driver was knowledgeable, courteous and had great recommendations for lunch. The car was clean and well maintained.

I have used JG tours as far back as 2006, and began using their services in 2023. My family and I were collected from Athens International and taken to one of the southern suburbs. George our driver was wonderful, warm and kind and went above and beyond in every way. That night I arranged that someone that was forgotten at the airport be collected by JG Tours, and it was done flawlessly and punctually. JG Tours are my go-to service providers for any related form of transportation. they are reliable, punctual, professional and I trust them full.

We were lucky to have Jonny as our guide for a 1-day tour up the coast from Athens to the Temple of Poseidon, and a 2-day tour to Delphi and Meteora. He is fun, flexible and knowledgable. The car was comfy and roomy. And, he knows everyone... pretty much everywhere we went he knew other drivers or the restaurant owners etc. He steered us to wonderful restaurants and a lovely hotel. He also has well researched videos on a mounted tablet computer which gave context and history for each of the sites we visited.

My wife and I booked a day trip from Athens to Delphi with JG Tours. It was an excellent choice.
John, our driver, was wonderful. He is an experienced driver who has worked in New York and Greece. He is a true professional who knows his work. I’m sure he could drive a doubled decker bus through the eye of a needle. He knows all the best routes to get to the major sites. We had an easy trip out to Delphi and back to Athens
John is a great guy. As he will tell you he, isn’t a professional tour guide, he’s a driver, but he has tons of great stories. You will never be bored in his company, and he makes the time between stops pass quickly. He clearly cares a lot about his customers. He makes sure that you are comfortable, has great recommendations for places to stop, and where to get a bite to eat. He seems to be friends with everyone and as a result you get treated like royalty in his company.
We enjoyed our trip out to Delphi so much we asked John to take us to Corinth, Mycenae, and Nafplion the next day.
The bottom line is this: you should book with JG Athens Tours. If you want to zip around all Greece in comfort then you need to book with John. He is a big hearted, funny guy, who takes a lot of pride in his business, and will be make sure you have the best possible time while you are in Greece.

We booked four tours (Athens, Sounion, Delphi, Epidaurus & Nafplio) with JG Athens Tours & Mr. John personally drove us. At first he explained to us how traffic works in Greece. Also that if someone is afraid of heights to pass it on to him. This in connection with certain routes that can sometimes be high in the mountains, so that he can take this into account. Mr. John had bottled water ready for us, and was always on time for our tours. After we got on the bus, he explained the chosen tour of the day and sometimes accompanied it with a movie. On the way to our destination we stopped at some places that you would normally not know as a tourist and also talked a bit about it. We enjoyed these tours every day, and if we could give 11 stars then JG Athens Tours would get this from us. Mr. John is a responsible driver with more than 40 years of experience. We would like to thank Mr. John for the fantastic moments we experienced with JG Athens Tours. Thank you for everything and until our next holiday in Greece.

We used Johns Private taxi tours for all our transfers and also did a half day Athens tour and a full day Argolis trip with them. I would suggest that you email John directly from their website. He is very prompt with his response.

My husband and I will arrive in Athen's May 30, 2016 on RCCL's Brilliance of the Sea. We have limited walking capabilities but would like to see as many of the sites and ruins as possible. Do you have a group that is going out on that date? Would we be able to keep up? Do you pick up at the ship? How many hours do you suggest to see the ruins? What is the cost?
