We used Chatours to visit Delphi and Meteora. Great guide and a very well organised trip. Meteora was spectacular and like nothing I have ever seen - spectacular . Am so glad we did this. The hotel where we stayed in Kalambaka was also very decent. The only downside was the AC not working for one leg of the bus... More

In hindsight, I can only blame myself for booking a "tour". This was a slap in the face reminder of why I PERSONALLY do not like tours. If a large group herding from listening to uninspiring guides talking too much to a muggy full bus is your thing then sure. We did not have enough time to actually explore and... More

Did two half day tours with them (Anicient Corinth and Cape Sounion). I booked this tour trough Viator. The E-mail for confirming the included pick-up from the hotel was answered within 24 hours and worked out well. The first tour Ancient Corinth was on a small bus. The seats where really feel cramped. Ryanair seats are like first class seats... More

Tour was average. The first leg of this tour to Delphi is combined with the day tour to Delphi. This means a bus change at Delphi to join up with a four day tour group and getting on their bus for the ride to Meteora and the rest of the tour. At Delphi, the day tour group gets to visit... More

We took an afternoon tour with these guys for a review of the City Centre of Athens and a walking tour of the Acropolis. The Bus picked us up at the hotel and the bus driver (Demos) was courteous and very considerate. The highlight for us was Martina who was our guide, she made a real effort to include everyone... It was nice driving around Athens to see the Olympic Stadium and the Acropolis. They museum was a waste of time and money. This was included as part of the acropolis 1/2 day tour. It's not worth seeing unless you love museums. They stopped there as the last stop on the tour. You're right in the Plaka district. Time would... More

1.5 hour bus trip for 50 minutes there. DON'T go on Saturday or Sunday, all Athens is at the beach and returning. Add 1.5 hours to the trip, they won't mention that in the guide. They then drop everyone off at their hotels, another 30-40 minutes. The ruins are nice, but not worth it. If you want ruins go to... More

We purchased this tour from Viator, which, I believe, belongs to trip advisor, so I hope you still publish this without censoring. The Amalia hotels are very good, although not in the center of the city. We visited the Corinth canal, Epidauros , Nafplion, Mycenae,Olympia, Delphi, We crossed the antirion bridge. There were several problems with the guide, Lala: 1.... More

My husband and I only had 4 days to see Athens and its surroundings so we opted for 2 full day tours. My husband and I deliberated about the total costs and then we negotiated a slight discount since we committed to both tours and they included lunch for no additional cost. We started with Tour #4 which highlights Mycenae... More

I did the 4 classical tour including Meteora. Joy was our guide and she was excellent- she was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging when outlining the historical significance of each site we visited. The tour itself was busy, but well organized from the meeting hotel to the stops everything ran smoothly and they really work hard to make sure you see... More

Staying in Syntagma

Neighborhood Profile
Syntagma
Perhaps the best place to get your bearings is Syntagma Square, crowned by the imposing Parliament building on its upper side and surrounded by other large structures, such as the exclusive Hotel Grande Bretagne. The grand avenues that lead towards Omonia are also full of massive Neoclassical edifices like the Numismatic Museum and those around smaller Platia Kolokotroni. Here you will find lots of travel agents, bookshops and fashion shops, especially on Ermou Street. Just south of Syntagma Square, you can take a breather in the lush National Gardens, which extend into the grounds of the Zappeio palace and beyond to the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus.
