We booked a private tour full day with Odysseas for Meteora/Kalambaka and full day Athens tour. We primarily organized the booking and details through WhatsApp. For Meteora, he picked us up early morning, so that we would have enough time to visit at least 3 monasteries. We did stop for food and drinks along the way and had a meal before heading back. We started at 630am and did reach back to the hotel til about 8 or 9 pm. The next day he picked us up around 10 am for Athens tour and because it was a private tour, I requested adding a trip to Poseidan. He was able to accommodate for a slight increase in fee to cover transportation. He keeps several books and other reference materials handy during the various tours to assist in education. He did not accompany us into the sites, but instead educates us before and after we visit ourselves. He was kind enough to organize the one day Cruise to 3 islands for us with the tour company. There was some confusion on the pricing because we had our 12 year old son, and he said price of tickets would be 3 adults, however the website of the tour company counts a 12 year old as a child and provides a discount. In the end we received a reduced price on his admission (similar to most other places we visited, where they counted him as a child and either did not charge admission or provided a discounted rate. I paid for Odysseas's meals and beverages during the tours and I considered that a gratuity for his services. He purchased authentic baklava and another type of Greek dessert for my wife as a gift at the end of the Athens tour. After we finished our 2 days with him, and I had already paid him for his services, I reached out to him about beaches, and he was kind enough to advise us on the best beach to visit in Athens...and he was right, we were happy. He does have several online blogs where he rates and reviews attractions in Athens, including the beaches.
