We had a group of 11 with a couple of first timers and age ranges from 17 to 65. Everyone caught on VERY quickly and we had a great time cruising around Athens. The highlight, of course, was to see everything all lit up - plus, it was much cooler that during the heat of the day. Would definitely recommend... More

Great way to learn some Greek history and cover a large area of ground. Staff were patient and allowed time for you to become comfortable on your Segway before venturing out around the Acropolis and surrounding area. We did it on our evening of arrival to Athens and saw many places that we wanted to make sure we came back... More

This was my first outing on a segway and I will definitely be doing it again!! It was easy to learn and a great way to see the Athens sights! Our guide Alex was great and very informative. There were 10 people in the group we were in and the ages ranged from 14 to 50. Everyone had a blast!

This is a brilliant way to see Athens. We recently went on the Acropolis tour and had a fantastic time. The guide was brilliant, he made sure we were all comfortable with the Segway and then took us around the sights of Athens pointing out interesting sights as we went along. We had plenty of time to take photos and... More

We always do this when visiting major cities as a great way to get a feel for the city as well as some info on the sites from the guide. This was as good as others and the guide very good

This was a fun and fast way to see the major sites of Athens. This was a good overview, however, you do not into the actual sites. You see everything from outside and the guide explained what we were seeing. Some people on our tour signed up for the 2 hour tour only so at the end of the 2... More

The Athens Segway Tour was really fantastic. I had such a good time. What a great way to see some of the sights. I was a little apprehensive riding a segway for the first time but that quickly faded as I rode for a bit. We got to see some sights that we might not have visited if not for... More

Fantastic tour with wonderful group of people. We covered more ground in 2 hours riding than we could have covered in 2 days walking. Only caveat is that the Acropolis tour just circumnavigates the area at the base of the Acropolis. You'll need to walk to the summit after the Segway tour is over. However, the tour office is only... It was kinda bumpy, overall i absolutely loved it, the staff were really friendly and very aware as I'm profoundly deaf and have very unbalanced levels, and was kept behind the leader and that was very grateful of him.

Towards the end of our trip in Athens my girlfriend and I decided to get a segway tour. It was fantastic. We had seen a group go by and that evening we booked it for the next day. They offer a large array of tours, some at night, some around the Acropolis and some around different sights in the city.... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
