We have been to Athens before and visited the monuments and ruins. We wanted to try something different. Booking was very easy online. You can pay in cash or with credit card when you arrive to the storefront. We arrived on a cruiseship and took a taxi from the port to the Segway tour. We completely misjudged the amount of... More

My daughter and I booked a 2 hour Athens tour during our cruise port stop. It was so much fun. Neither of us had ever been on a Segway before but the staff taught us and made sure we were safe and comfortable in using it before we started. What an easy way to get around. Our tour ended up... More

I was not too excited when my teenage son saw the Segway tours and asked me if we could go. Where we come from, when one of these tours come by, you point and snicker...but decided to give in. What a great experience! I throughly enjoyed the freedom of moving effortlessly through the streets surrounding the acropolis and Plaka. The... More

At a price of 28 dollars per person You can have a 1 hour tour with a local guide talking about ancient Athens. There are also 2 and 3 hour tours. This is a great way of seeing Athens and all of it historical background.

At 59 Euros a person for 2 or 3 hours, you will see a great overview of the historic parts of Athens. Much easier on your feet than walking the 5 - 7 miles of the tour. Depending upon which tour you choose, you can see the Roman Agora, the Ancient or Greek Agora, the Acropolis, Mars Hill and many... More

We got off the cruise ship in Athens and got in a taxi on our way to Athens Segway Tours and the excursion was fantastic. The area where the office is located is a shaded walkway with several shops to get a nice breakfast and to look around. The Segway tour started by a guided walking tour to the Acropolis... More

The Segway tour is pretty good. It is more stop and start than other places which use headsets but pretty good. But they also added a walking tour of the acropolis Their guides are spectacular. Well done caring staff

We had an exceptional few hours out on our Segway Tour with Natasha as our guide. We got a good feel for all of the City not just the usual tourist traps, and were also lucky enough to catch the Changing of the Guards at the Presidential Mansion which was a real treat to see! Natasha was really informative and we... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
