Our guide was Vera who spoke excellent English and who was an expert on Greek history. In our 2-hour tour she took us the most important sights around the Acropolis, telling us lots of details about the landmarks we visited. It was very interesting and we were once again glad to have chosen a Segway tour, as it's a great... More

You can do this as a 3 part tour. If you only have 1 day in Athens, DO THIS. The first part is a Segway tour of the outer historic area's of Athens, the second part is a guided tour of the Acropolis, the third part is a guided tour of the Acropolis Museum. This was a great tour with... More

Spent one day in Athens before going to crete. Did a quick one hour segway tour. Very pleasant and informative. The crew are very professional. The guide lady was very sweet and took pictures of us wherever we felt like taking a shot. Highly recommended...

I have done segway tours in Barcelona, Rome, Florida, Chicago etc. Its the best way to see everything in a city in a short period of time. The guide was great, we saw all the main attractions, plus shopping area and many other spots --- all in 3 hours! Its the only way to go!

Finding the starting point was a little tricky (maybe allow yourself some extra time), but our guide was very welcoming and generous with sharing information about the area of Plaka. There were ample stops and opportunities to take photos, learn more about the history and ask questions. Given it was a night tour and some of the areas we visited... More

As I have taken Segway tours in other cities, I thought the guide would be well instructed and give us all the knowledge that this city has to offer; spent too much time at market and some other points were there was not really much to see, didn't even get close to Zeus temple or Adrian arch, I'm sure this... Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
