It was just a spontaneous idea when I saw one segway coming along. I could start half an hour later and, as there where no reservations at this time, I could get a personal two hours tour with Anastasia as my tour guide. As it was so much fun and the explanations and our talkings have been so interesting, I... More

We toured the Temple of Zeus and National Gardens. A two hour tour and my kids loved it. We all felt very safe and it was a great way to see the sights in a new way. Great guides and easy training before the tour took off. Fantastic experience, we would absolutely do this again.

I was reluctant to go for this adventure specially that I am close to 70 years .This was my first time . They started by giving me a 10 minute orientation by the end of which I became mastering the machine. By the end of my two and half hours I went in racing with some Americans who were in... More

A great way to explore the city, suitable for all ages above 12. Staff are lovely and accomodating. We started at 3 and ended at 5 so got the chance to view the sunset.

We did the night tour and it was beautiful. It started to rain as soon as the tour began, and the tour guide was more than happy to ask if we wanted to reschedule in order to avoid the rain. We ended up going on the tour regardless and it was so much fun! The tour guide showed us as... More

Having tried a Segway tour previously this did not disappoint. We booked the 3 hour guided tour. We saw all the sights and were given some fantastic information on the history as well as some inside information on restaurants, bars and local secrets! Our tour guide Kelly was great!

During our visit, we decided to opt for something fun and alternative for sightseeing! So we booked the Night Segway Tour. When we arrived, the guide welcomed us and other people . We joined a tour of 8 people in total. We thought it was best to go for a helmet until we noticed their condition. They don't have enough... More

This was our first segway experience and one of our best excursions ever. Gabriela was a wonderful guide and took the time to carefully instruct each of us on the use of the segway and allowed all of us practice time until we felt proficient. This was a night tour and it was simply delightful to cruise past the historical... More

My wife and were traveling with our 12 year old so the Segway Tour was absolutely the way to go. Of all of the things we did on our two week vacation in Greece, my son listed this tour as one of his top 3 things. The segway training was excellent - the staff very patient with us to make... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighborhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
