Theo was an incredible guide. As the pandemic has hit the tourism industry hard, it was only the two of us but he brought so much enthusiasm and expert knowledge to the tour. He clearly loves his city and I do too now! We walked around quirky neighbourhoods, admiring incredible street art, refreshments in a hidden garden bar, snacks in a taverna and learnt a lot about Athens’ struggle from economic crisis to regeneration. One of the best urban adventures tours I’ve done :)

This is really a wonderful tour. Theo is an amazing guide and host - warm, funny and personable in addition to super knowledgeable. The four venues we visited were without exception excellent and unique. We would never have found them on our own. Don't be deceived by the food description as Meze and think the portions are small - I struggled to finish mine! If you like eating, drinking and getting to know more about the city you're in - I highly recommend. And a thank you to Theo from both of us for such a wonderful night.

We had the most awesome tour of Athens with our guide, Theo. Even though I actually live here, I got so many new insights and stories about the city. We visited corners of the city I would never have found myself and all the food and drink was delicious. Theo is such a great guy, really friendly and caring, and super knowledgable about his city. Plus, as he did a history degree, he can add so much depth and background to the stories that make up modern Athens. Completely and absolutely recommend this.

We had a great private tour with Babis who is so knowledgeable about his home town of Athens. We started in the markets then walked through old Athens and Plaka finishing at the Acropolis museum. All the time Babis talked about the history of Athens, showed us old ruins, explained their timeline and pointed out the different architecture throughout the city. We even had a coffee stop at a rooftop restaurant with an incredible view over old Athens towards the Acropolis. I can definitely recommend this tour as part of your Athens experience

We had a fantastic tour last Tuesday 15th September with Babis. We thoroughly enjoyed learning/experiencing some of the old history, religious buildings, architecture, neighbourhoods and ruins of the city and experiencing the sights and smells of the many markets on offer. All brought to life by Babis, who’s knowledge was remarkable and really went the extra mile to show us more for his beautiful city. It was also a great tour to do on our first day, to find our bearings and gain a geography of all the landmarks. A welcome coffee break was included halfway through on a rooftop cafe overlooking Monastiraki Square, with great views of the Acropolis - a very nice touch. Thank you urban adventures and thank you Babis.
