Side-by-side neighborhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.

Polis Hammam is well designed and clean, BUT it has truly the worst customer service and the most impolite staff I have encountered in a wellness business. My wife booked a full service hammam and massage for the whole family (4 people) with each person paying 100 euro. One of the family members got sick and after calling the place to reschedule for this one person of our family, the staff member answering the phone was so rude and in the end informed us that it is impossible due to the rules of the business. Really? In the times of COVID and flu season? Unprofessional in the least and probably dangerous policy that puts their staff and other clients at risk.

We would like to informed you that the cancellation policy and our rules of operation are mentioned on our website, they are reported and updated by our staff, and our visitors necessarily signs it before the purchase. Also the appointment will be always confirmed from the previous day of the appointment by our staff.
In any other case, if you do not want the entire previous process, you have every right not to accept the terms and to come direct in Polis Hammam Polis Loutron at the time and day you want and you will be served based on availability.

Very calming and quiet location. Staff all welcoming and helpful. The traditional bath was great - very smooth and attentive. Massage excellent - very relaxing - and, again, very professional and attentive. Lovely spa and tea area for afterwards. Great way to escape Athens heat. We were staying in hotel above the hammam so very convenient. Highly recommend.

My husband and I booked a traditional bath and massage for our afternoon in Athens after traveling from the USA. We had never experienced a Hammam before, but the Polis Hammam must be the best of the best. I could not recommend this place enough. The staff was amazing and extremely helpful in our booking and made sure we were at peace after a stressful airport experience. We both left feeling so refreshed and relaxed (and very clean). We even talked about going back the night before our departure flight. Definitely add this to the top of your list while visiting Athens!

Best massage ever! Environment was spotless, and my whole experience was outstanding. I booked a lengthy, massage and the special facial which was performed with all natural oils and herbs. Nothing artificial or processed was used. I felt at ease, comfortable and relaxed thanks to my very talented masseuse Theodore. This guy really knows his muscle groups and how to work out the kinks. I’m told his name means “gift of God” and I have to say he certainly was for me. He performed both of my treatments with precision and soulful energy. It was just what I needed before my long trip back to California!!

My bestie and I wanted a decidedly decadent experience in Athens on our first visit to Greece. After sampling at a perfume bar and shopping at a local boutique, we made our way to Polis Hamman for our first Grecian bath and 90-minute massages. While the bath was unique, very warm and cleansing, the massages were over the moon! My therapist was Dimitris and he sensitively adjusted the pressure of my deep tissue treatment so that I was both “treated” and relaxed. I carry stone-like tension in my lats and delts. Dimitris used his elbows and forearms to relieve as much stress as possible. He was exquisite, to the point I felt like a limp noodle— but a happy limp noodle! I highly recommend a 90-minute session. The Grecian bath will properly prepped your body for this amazing experience.

We had an amazing three-hour couple massage experience, including the hammam bath, full body massage and facial. Just what we needed after a few days exploring the city and can highly recommend this to everyone! It is an amazing experience and will make you leave completely relaxed. Thanks to Chryssa and Anna for their fantastic service, we will be back!

We received completely different treatment than what we read on the website and expected to have. We finished half an hour earlier and they didn't use the products that was written on the website. Very questionable if the towels used were sanitized. Generally awkward experience. Too expensive of what it is!

Polis hammam-Polis loutron takes any criticism into account, investigates and evaluates it.
Due to the anonymity and fake name it is impossible for us to understand and identify it.
Concerning your case, we do not seem to have had any similar dissatisfaction from our visitors or any event that took place in our business.
The company and its human resources absolutely respect its visitors. Willingness, proper service, hospitality, training, organization are some of the advantages are characterize us.
We are ALWAYS deliver on what we promise in our clients.
We are NEVER remove time from our guests' services, except in the case of the guest's fault and after we have exhausted all possible efforts to deal with it and this will ONLY be done in cases where there are subsequent appointments.
We are ALWAYS use all the products required due ti our therapies protocols for each of our services.
We follow all the protocols regarding cleanliness with the aim of the safety of our customers. Our towels are washed and disinfected with the appropriate cleaning products and dried at a temperature above 100 degrees
Cleanliness and hygiene cannot be disputed.
Our prices are cleared according to market rules and are completely competitive.
We are sorry again that your experience was uncomfortable as you write and is not based on a misunderstanding of our treatments and services.

I called them which was an international call. They put the phone down and spoke to someone else that wasn't on the phone for around 3 minutes. When they got back on the phone, they couldn't answer basic questions about couples being together versus separated. The lady spoke to me like I was stupid..."I told you" with a frustrated tone. I don't have time or inclination to be spoken to like that. I'm not begging for a service and I was looking at paying top dollar for their top services. I'd rather roll in mud in a pig pen than be spoken to like that and go for their services. They wasted my time and money on an international call.

Within the framework of our good services, your call was recorded as you already heard at the beginning of your call and the duration was 04:52’
We have noticed that there was a difficulty in your communication and understanding, which often happens when the dialogue is in a different language than the mother tongue. Moreover, when the communication takes place by phone, this makes the situation more difficult to comprehend each other.
Our employee put an effort to explain you as much as she could and to solve all your questions. And if you didn't hang up on her , you would find out too.
"In fact the specific employee, has the best reviews. There was no intention from her side to offend you and if you felt that way we apologize.
As you can see from our reviews on Google and Trip advisor, what characterizes our business is kindness, willingness, hospitality and excellent services.
Regarding your waiting on the phone call, the call lasted 02:10’, due to the fact that the employee, at that moment, she was servicing an another call, that preceded yours. Unfortunately in a call center, we cannot avoid this. Inevitably everyone is being served in order of priority.

I was lucky enough to spent almost 80% of the service time alone with the therapist in the amazing Hammam.
The welcoming was very good and the Hercule’s Bath I chose was amazing, and the biggest reason why was Sotiris, my amazing therapist.
I felt super relaxed, expert hands, and everything was perfect in terms of safety precautions due to COVID.
A must have, would love to come back to a massage next time!!

Sincere welcome and help in choosing the best treatment by Ana and Vasilis. After 8 days of sailing in strong winds and waves, the two hours spent in Polis Hammam
brought us back. Turkish bath and professional masseurs, wonderful atmosphere and wonderful people, highly recommended.

Allow me to add that I would assume that if you request a woman they would make the arrangements to accommodate that request. The service was wonderful and it would be a surprise if they didn't. I did see women but they were mostly cleaning up, getting tea for the customers-- that sort of thing.
