Soooo beautiful!

This temple is very well-preserved when comparing to the others, so it is definitely worth visiting. Hire a guide. It makes the visit more interesting!

I was surprised at this site as i was not expecting a temple in such good condition. Considering that there is no construction like at the parthenon, i would list this as one of the very best sites.

This was actually the prototype for the Parthenon, much smaller in scale but in remarkable condition compared to the Parthenon

The whole ancient agora site is well worth a visit. We did it on the hop on hop off bus. Great reconstruction of the site plus easy walk around the ruins and temple with views to the Acropolis

I liked this temple the best because you could get a great feel for what the temple was like when it was built and the workmanship and labor involved in creating it.

While there are an abundance of sites around Athens, few can rival the Temple of Hephaestus for the quality of the site. The temple is largely intact, giving off a very powerful sense of its long place in history. A bit away from the Acropolis but well worth the effort to see the site and surroundings.

If you are looking for a very well preserved temple, this is a great example. There are so many temple ruins out there, but nothing as well intact as this in mainland Greece.
