Overtime I visit this monument, the restoration has changed its look. If the UK govt decides to return all the stolen elements from the facade, it would look different from what we have been seeing in the travel guides or history text books. But the team which is restoring it is in no hurry!

I am running out of things to say. I would recommend jamming in a full day and do all the central ruins. If walking is not you thing do the bus hopper

In the top of a hill, watching the ancient Agora, Temple of Ephestos is, probably, the best conserved monument in Acropolis area.

Intact, and really helps transport you back to the Era. Much less busy and also cheaper (8 vs 20) if you are on a budget.

When we picked a cruise that would stop in Athens, I was resolute that I would see this temple. (We missed it on our previous trip.) It is a wonderful example of an intact temple, and it really gives you and idea of how this wonderful buildings appeared when they were built. It was well worth the heat and humidity!

We went early and the whole of ancient agora was quiet, was so lovely to stroll around and not be swamped by crowds. The temple is so well kept and pristine. You walk into ancient agora ( free with a student card) and stroll up towards this beautiful building

This temple is one of the few that are still fairly intact. Definitely worth taking the time to see it.

The Temple of Hephaestus is a very well intact temple. Great architecture to see. you can get close enough to take some excellent photographs. The area around it is also very interesting to see. If you are in Athens, you should go see this temple. Easy walking to the Temple from the park area entrance.
