We enjoyed an excellent day on Jabberwocky. We were hosted by Captain Simon & First Mate Michael, both of whom were extremely competent, professional & friendly.
Jabberwocky is a beautiful 50 ft sailing boat. She is very comfortable and in great condition. Our trip included lunch which was freshly prepared barbecued chicken skewers with salad. There was plenty of food and it was very tasty.
Simon & Michael were both very attentive and keen to do anything to make the day as enjoyable as possible.

This was a really relaxing full day out on our own private charter. Our family had enjoyed this boat a few years back, but with different Owners and wanted to see what had changed – happily not a lot !. Jabberwocky is still a superb 50ft sloop with experienced crew who pander to your every need and this trip included a fresh BBQ lunch with wines. Captain Simon tailored the day to what my three kids wanted, so snorkelling, swimming, relaxing on a deserted beach were all on the menu ! They loved the new oversized bean bags at the front and parents appreciated the freshwater shower after swimming off the rear platform. We have already earmarked their ‘bubbles at sunset’ voyage for our next visit – yes, we will be returning - Highly recommended.

This was the highlight of our trip to Antigua! My wife and I booked the Jabberwocky for just the two of us to have a relaxing day sailing. It was worth every dollar. Simon and Michael took great care of us all day and were kind enough to teach me a tiny bit about sailing. We will definitely repeat this private sailing trip on our next trip to Antigua!

We've sailed with the Jabberwocky team on a number of trips. Always a fantastic day out and a visit to Antigua without an outing wouldn't be a holiday.
Safety is always a priority but doesn't spoil the fun and the expertise of the crew guarantees a brilliant day out.

Amazing afternoon spent with friends. We cannot thank Simon enough along with his employee Michael. Well worth the money if you want to charter your own boat. A lot of fun indeed.

We had the absolute BEST time sailing on the Jabberwocky with Simon and Michael!
I grew up sailing but hadn't been on a big boat in about 12 years, and Simon was more than happy to indulge in a full afternoon of totally incredible Caribbean sailing. We left Jolly Harbor, sailed around Sandy Island, and then cruised all the way around Cades Reef, even getting into some open water sailing.
While this may not have been the "typical" charter for the Jabberwocky since we just sailed the entire time (instead of stopping to swim), we can't recommend this experience highly enough. Simon and Michael were the upmost professionals and made for a fabulous experience overall.
Can't wait to go back sailing on the Jabberwocky again!

We recently had the extreme pleasure of chartering a sailboat, with Adventure Caribbean (AC), on the beautiful island of Antigua.
My girlfriend & I heard about AC from the concierge of our hotel. "Jabberwocky", a gorgeous 50' sloop, with plenty of room & all the "toys" one might want, when on the water. From the pickup at Jolly Harbour, to the dropoff at the same, we were both very impressed with the whole operation!
The Capt.-Simon & First Mate-Clare, made us feel welcome & pampered throughout the course of our full-day charter. Excellent food & drink punctuated the gorgeous views & memorable moorings we had for the day. Given that they operate (mostly) on the "lee-side" of Antigua, the sailing was smooth, allowing us to wander the boat comfortably.
We anchored in several different points...played on the standup paddle boards, lounged on the floating foam dock, snorkeled & even kayaked! The crew had a perfect sense of when we wanted to be alone or engaged in learning the history, topography & climatology of this gorgeous island.
They even showed us their next-in-line of the AC Armada...a 40'+ catamaran, "Jabbercat" (they're currently putting the finishing touches on now). I can only imagine lounging on the oversized stuffed beanbags, that were laying on the "hammock" between the 2 pontoons, at the bow of the ship.
Our day was one of memory-making sights, great food, good humor, crystal turquoise water, secluded beaches, rainbows & we even saw the rare "Green flash" at sunset. (Capt. Simon joked, that while they couldn't guarantee that last element, they were happy to provide the other parts. 😂)
If you want to have the proverbial cherry on the ice cream, on the whipped cream, on the cake, during your visit to Antigua...LOOK THESE GUYS UP!

My family and I came down to Antigua as a way to give my elderly father an awesome memory. The Jabberwocky crew helped make that possible. We did the day cruise and liked it so much we came back for a second sunset cruise. Everyone’s favorite part of the trip was the time spent sailing on Jabberwocky. Captain Simon and Michael and Claire took great care of us. If you have a chance to use this company, I can’t recommend them enough. From the food to the views to the fun to the bean bags, our family will remember the time spent with them for the rest of our lives. Thank you Jabberwocky and crew! You are the best!

OMG, our day on Jabberwocky was out of this world magnificent.
I guess we can not give them credit for the gorgeous weather (though we believe that they may have arranged that, too).
The sail seemed to be catered for the adventure of our dreams. Hours and hours of sweet sailing -taking us to private places that felt like no human had ever visited before.
Captain Simon and his mate, Clare looked after us like we were family. They seemed to know so much about the island, fed us delicious food, snacks and drinks a plenty (omg the flapjack was mind blowing... later found out Clare had made it). They had a sea mat on which float, a bean bag on which to rest & take in the beauty, snorkeling gear, a surfboard (not that we did anything with that) and took us to a beach that was practically void of humans.
They entertained us when we wanted company and left us alone when we preferred being private. Excellent and Expert in every aspect of the trip.
We saw other sailboats while we were out and we were so grateful to be where we were and not on those other cruise boats. The lines the Jabberwocky are sleek, classic, and beautiful. The intimate sail was healing, the company was stellar... a proper day on the sea. We could not have been happier.
We loved diving off the boat into the sea ... our only complaint is that they took us to a magnificent cove; we dove off the boat, we were enjoying a private swim and while we were drinking in the beauty of the moment/enjoying each other's company - Simon and Clare saw a green flash - something each us had only seen once in our lives and not to be replicated during this 15 night holiday in Antqua and St Kitts.
... above and beyond the call of duty, Simon guided us past the company's newest acquisition (Jabbercat - obviously a catamaran). Others on their team were working on refurbishing her and they went out of their way to give a sneak peek. She will surely be a graceful beauty, once they get her ready. It was very kind of them and a special treat for us to get a glimpse of what's to come. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you Captain Simon and Michael his right hand man.
We had the most spectacular day,
a day we will never forget.
The onboard service you provide
is absolutely first class and the
fact you offer a trip bespoke to
your onboard guests is quite unique.
The photographs of the boat
do not do justice the actual
size of the boat and the fact you can switch from a motorised boat to actual sailing boat is fantastic.
We no longer have any desire for
motorised, we now are hooked on
sailing boats.
We would recommend your services to both the holiday and
business sectors.
We wish you every success with
the development of the business.
Thank you for a very special day
we never forget.

We are staying at the Verandah in April and would like to do a day sail on a sail boat, not a catamaran. Can anyone recommend anyone? I would think it would have to be out of English Harbour. Thanks

You have posted on the site for Jabberwocky which is a 50 foot sailing yacht - not a catamaran- offering private day charters. You will find 570+ "excellent" reviews here on TripAdvisor. Visit the website for more details of the various charters , pictures, prices and how to book.
Please note the yacht does operate from Jolly Harbour on the west coast rather than English Harbour for the important reason that the sea is always much calmer on that side of the island than the seas outside English and Falmouth Harbours. This makes a much more pleasant day of sailing, swimming and snorkeling with an open bar and freshly prepared lunch.
You will have to take a taxi journey of 45/50 minutes across the island from the Verandah but you will find that most activities on Antigua are based along the west coast so taxi fares or car hire becomes necessary if staying there.
All charters are private - that is just your family , or you as a couple or a group of friends but not sharing with strangers.

We will be arriving on the Regatta into St John's on February 6, 2017, at 8 AM and leaving at 3 PM so we would need to be back on board on the Regatta by 2 PM. I can organize a group on board before sailing through Cruise Critic, but I am not sure how the pricing would work. Can you explain? I read that you limit the number of people to 10, but not sure if we would save that much money by having a larger group. What do you suggest?

Hi
We do offer charters adapted to cruise ship sailing times but in your case the deadline of 2.00pm really will not work for the day charter we offer . Ships more usually sail at 5.00pm or later and a 3.00pm sailing time rules out a day aboard . You will do best to seek out a shorter half day charter from amongst some of the other options available but do be particularly careful to highlight that early finish time because many of the trips usually tied in with cruise ships tend to finish around 3.30pm.
Sorry we cannot help.

Was wondering if there is a chance that eight of us could book the day at St. John's Antigua on March 20, 2016. Also wanted to know what the cost would be.

For prices and details how to book it is best to take a look at our website. Go back to the review page and our website address and all our contact details appear on right hand side.
However in the this case we are sorry to say we are already booked on 20th March - these days it is best to contact us as far in advance as possible to avoid possible disappointment

Is there a minimum age you allow to go on the cruise?
We will be on a cruise…do you pick up and drop off at the ship?
We have a family of 11 can you accommodate all of us together?
Captain Simon
Antigua156 contributions
There is no minimum age - we have had a 3 month old aboard - though not sure he took much notice!
We only pick up in Jolly Harbour which involves a short taxi ride from St Johns - easily arranged . We do this so that we can access the most attractive parts of coast during your day aboard. St Johns cruise port and the areas around are not the prettiest part of Antigua.
Sadly however we are limited to an absolute maximum of 10 guests - no exceptions even if young children form part of the party so we cannot help this time.

No too far for a sailing trip
