Did the return trip to Critters Camp. Great journey and an excellent narration by Glen. Lots of information and history of the surrounding areas. Great job Glen. Will do another trip next time we are in the area.

A slow train to Croydon (and back the next day). This is an old historic railway using a railmotor from the 1950's. The railway track is in variable condition which means a slow pace. Five hours later, and a morning tea break you pull in to Croydon. This is once in a lifetime experience. The early morning is a great time for the wildlife. As the day extents less wildlife, but interesting history. If you are in a rush - then re-consider this trip. It is a gentle, slow old journey, but it does bring a bygone era back to life.

RM93 affectionately known as the “Tin Hare”, the Gulflander is a fully operational 1950 railmotor that is said to travel from ‘nowhere to nowhere’. Starting in Normanton we took the trip out to Critters Camp. Great way to see the diverse scenery and the commentary provided by the Savannah Guides was informtative. Well worth the money.

Excellent train trip of yesteryear. Glen and Ray two dedicated employees who have kept the train running while being short staffed. The commentary on the area was very interesting and appreciating how far train travel has come. A 1 hour trip out then the train in turned around for the hour trip back. Plenty of opportunities for taking photos.
