Pleasant place, in the historical center of the city where besides traditional commerce, we can also visit historical monuments, as is the case of the City Hall Building.

The building “Antigo Passos de Concelho” is located on the “Praça de Republica”, which is at only 300 meters from the “Tourist Information centre” where you can leave the car in the underground parking (to pay for) and is dating from the XVI century. The building is classified as “National Monument”.

Very sober and simple building. O would like to see it from the inside but couldn't at the time. Anyways it's an unique example of it's architecture

This old building is located right on the square where you can find a fountain and Misericórdia church, so you cannot miss it when visiting. It looks cool and it represents another part of medieval Portugal and Viana do Castelo.

The fortresslike old Town Hall dates of 16th century.
The whole building is built on the austere granite stone, with a porch delimited by three arches to which correspond, on the middle floor, three windows.
Over the middle window are sculpted the royal shield, the armillary sphere and a nao, symbol of Viana, this House of the Chamber was built outside of the city doors in the beginning of the 16th century.
It sometimes hosts contemporary art exhibitions and free workshops to keep kids busy.
It's surronding by other interesting buildings as well cafes & restaurants

Fine, but kind of simple.
There was a virtual reality exhibition and we tried some 3D glasses.
Little upstairs with a big room.
Free and they didn't tease us.
