I booked this trip at the last minute. The communication with Guilherme was superb. He met us exactly on time at the pre-arranged pickup point (it could have been outside our apartment if we wanted). He explained the itinerary for the day. We were accompanied by another couple, making 4 in total for the trip.
The drive was lovely and Guilherme was very informative, telling us about landmarks and places of interest on the drive and talking about Porto and Portugal in general. We visited Croft's in Pinhao, This lasted around an hour, had just the right amount of information plus of course the lovely port tasting (3 types), NO PRESSURE TO BUY ANYTHING, which was excellent (but we did, a 20 year bottle of port!). Then , we had a lovely two course lunch with wine and coffee. Because the Douro was rough we were unable to go on a boat trip so instead, Guilherme took us to a viewing point near the top of a very tall hill (mountain?) above Pinhao to see stunning views along the Douro Valley. Next we visited a different quinta, Quinta de Pacheca, the oldest on the Douro. Again an informative but not over the top tour, plus wine and port tasting. After the drive back to Porto, Guilherme dropped us at our desired spot. We had a fantastic day, met a lovely couple from France and above all, met Guilherme and learned about the Douro and Port. We thoroughtl recommend this trip!
