    Marvelous historic building
Gorgeous old building. There was a special display of the city charter from 1123 happening while we were there. The document itself was available for viewing in a glass case. We weren't able to wander freely throughout the building, but the parts we did see were well worth the visit.

    Perspective is everything
The Town Hall of Porto is situated at the top end of the Avenue of the Allies - so the view is usually impressive and stunning when having that long perspective towards the seats of power. However the Avenue is currently broken up by road works and the perspective is not really possible. It is however a nice neoclassical building from the early 20th century and open as of 1955 only. The bell tower is 70m tall, and there are both chairs and benches under the shades of the trees for a nice break.

    ok
it is a lovely building ( which you cannot visit ) in a square. The waterfall area in front of the building is a lot smaller than what it appears in the picture shown and there is a busy road in between the two. Not much more to say than that really.

The town hall towers over the central square of Porto, Placa Liberdade. Its central tower is 70m high and there is a very popular Porto sign outside that is always swarmed with tourists snapping away.
I dont know if you can visit the inside, I didnt, but the building is one of the most impressive in the city and is well worth a stop.

Porto City hall is a neoclassic edifice standing in the very center, at the northern end of a huge square. A big central tower clock dominates it.
Unfortunately, the area is currently under heavy subway construction, so the views and moving around are limited.

The building itself was beautiful from the outside but we did not go in.

The reason to walk here is to take your photo in front of the large Porto sign. Be aware there is a long unofficial line to take your photo in front of it so be prepared to wait. Great photo!

Located about 150 metres from Trindade Metro Station, Porto City Hall Is located at the top of the long Avenida dos Aliados. It is an attractive building with steps leading up to the main door, but tourists are not allowed to wander around inside. In front of the building is the word Porto, in large blue letters, the colour of the city's main football team. This location is a very popular spot for tourists' photographs. How better to show that you have been to Porto than to have your photo taken in front of this? After viewing the city hall, you can walk down the Avenue which has several statues worth seeing and numerous cafés and restaurants for refreshments.

City Hall is spectacular both inside and out, tourist and natives alike posing for photos with the big Porto sign below the steps and a huge Portugal party after winning the Nations League, absolutely incredible and highly recommend visiting when in Porto.
