Lots of restaurants here with nice views of the bridge as well as river life. The buildings have been nicely renovated. It is a very touristy area however.

Porto's Nova da Gaia district (experienced by most of us as "Riberira") has great history and great bones. The square is just about in front of the City Hall and is adjacent to a strange cube sculpture near a fountain; look for the gray thing...More

This is a must if you are traveling to Porto. The Ribeira District is bustling with artists, restaurants, cafes and lots of history. Just head down to enjoy a glass of vino or a Super Bock or coffee while taking it all in.

A taxi to the airport cost us a fixed price of €25 which is pretty cheap. Relying on public transport when catching a flight is always a bit risky. Our concierge booked the taxi for us.
