Anyone who loves wine will absolutely love the Douro Valley and wine tour and the services from Oporto Sensations Tour are extraordinary. In Porto you'll be picked up at your hotel or apartment and learn all about the region as you are chauffeured to the Douro Valley. Our guide, Pedro, was incredibly knowledgeable in the region and was a joy to converse with over a lunch that was included in the very reasonable price, followed by a one hour boat tour of the valley also included. Two wineries are visited and the tours were very enjoyable and there is no pressure to purchase anything even after a few wine tastings. This is a family owned business and you'll definitely feel the personal attention which you never receive with the big commercial company tours. They offer other tours as well and this is now my go to tour operator in Porto

This was a really memorable experience booked after having been on the Douro Valley tour offered by João and Pedro (I would highly recommend that also). Having tried wine from the region before visiting Porto we were keen to find out more about the Vinho Verde region. The tour did not disappoint, the views were spectacular from the viewpoints in Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo and made you really appreciate the most amazing Portuguese landscape, it;s really such a special area of the county. João was a fantastic guide, he personalised the experience and took time to get to know us and share his knowledge of the region. The town of Ponte de Lima was beautiful and I left feeling like I had seen part of the country not as famous as Porto. I'd recommend this experience if you are in Porto and also doing it with João and Pedro, they are both such great hosts and when I come back to Porto I will be getting in touch to arrange further tours. Highly recommend both the company and doing this tour if you're in Porto. Thanks for such an amazing time!

This was a fantastic experience. Our guide was Pedro who picked us up from our apartment in Porto on time and with a really friendly service. On the journey to the Douro valley he really made the effort to get to know about us and where we'd come from and also talked about the area and the region. The experience itself was amazing, some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. The ride on the river was a good start to the day, and gave you the chance to take in how special the Douro is. The lunch was great, plenty of wine to try. The afternoon included a visit to two vineyards, one large and one small family run. Both were great and gave you an insight into the contrasting ports each produced and learn about the process. Of course the tastings of the different Ports was a great ending to each tour. Overall this experience was a highlight of my trip to Porto. I would do it again in a heartbeat when I return as it felt like such a unique experience. Pedro was helpful and attentive throughout the whole experience and couldn't do enough to make the experience special, from taking photos, showing us the best views and also recommending places to eat in Porto. I'd really recommend doing this on a visit to Porto, a great company and a perfectly organised tour! Thanks Pedro and João!

They really went the extra mile to make this the best day of our holiday. We had a one to one guide to customer ratio, one of which was a port and wine expert and collector. They are truly experts in the history, geography and vineyards of the area. In 1 day we managed to experience all the best of the Douro Valley. João and Pedro are so welcoming, thorough and informative they can answer every question you have. They showcased the contrast between small and very large producers and even sent us home with a bottle of wine. The grilled dorado lunch was delicious and they also offer a meat or vegetarian option, super fresh and seasonal. Cant wait to come back and try another one of their tours, especially their surfing tour. Thank you for making our experience so special.

I would like to encourage and recommend everyone that has the time to take a 1 day tour to book this tour. When i booked i was already excited about this. Being taken to Braga seeing how nice that city is was nice, traveling to the mountains gave me an experience i will never forget in my life! The trip to the waterfall was a bit of a hike but the tourguide is there with you to ensure your safety and will help you get to the waterfall which is absolutely gorgeous, something you don’t want to miss out on! We’ve seen so much and also lunched at a small village that offers traditional food. If you like going on an adventure this is definitely the tour for you, this tour will bring your head into the clouds (literally).
