This river on Porto’s banks is in constant use throughout the daylight hours. Having been on or beside it for the past 4 days has been a pleasure and extremely entertaining. Whether it’s boating , cruising, jet skiing, helicopter tours, numerous restaurants and wineries, a...More

We’d made a trip under the 6 bridges with one of the tours. It was really nice to see Porto and the bridges from the water after seeing it by walking. Gives a total other view.

Nice river with stunning views. Crowded but ok. By car or by boat, both is lovely. Visiting the Quintas, needs to travel some km.

Unprofessional staff. Haphazard lineups. Only offered in Portuguese language. Uninspiring event. Not worth the money!

We were at the end of our Douro 7 night river cruise and found some spare time to see Villa Nova de Gaia and the bridge across the Douro to Porto. By far the best way to do this is to take the cable car...More

40 minutes and 6 bridges. Beautiful weather and day. The trip was okay, only disturbed by speaking in the speakers.

It's simple, not a breath-taker, but a unique and privileged way to see the city origins from a new perspective. Relaxing and usually a little windy . Try it, you'll like it!

It will be surely cold weather and the scenery wil not be as green as in summer. However, if you find the same kind of joyful Portuguese people we met, it can be a good experience. Our boat had glass windows in the dining... More

There's a railway lone that follows the Douro from Porto for a long way. If we go back that's what we will do, it looks stunning. Stay in Pinhao and move out form there. What a lovely holiday to plan
