Had a great time on a nice boat. It was raining. But the trip was fun and short. My sights to be seen and the river is awesome

an exhilarating boat trip up and down the river, right up to the point where it flows into the Ocean and back, with excellent views of 6 of the bridges over the Rio Douro. It lasts only 50 minutes, but it is well worth the 15 euros charged for it.

A walk along the front to take in the atmosphere , the people , the restaurants and bars plus the views is a must. I would walk down and use the lower bridge to get to the other side then taking in a port wine warehouse. Nice to sit and have a leisurely drink or perhaps a meal. We did... More

Taking a tour on the douro is really a nice way to see the city. You see the typical houses at the river and the many bridges. It is something to do when it is nicer weather, in my experience it was very cold on the cloudy november day we went there.

We had a lovely walk along both banks of the river; also enjoyed port tasting in one of the many wineries along the south bank.

The Six Bridge cruise is a must, and is the best way to see Porto. The bridges are beautiful, Porto fascinating, and one is able to see all the famous Port names displayed on the South bank of the River Douro. It was cold and windy (February) and, when going against the small waves, those at the front of the... More

We saw the river from both sides...nicest looking back towards Porto. Boats traveling to and fro added to the atmosphere. We traveled out into the countryside and saw different views of the river...also beautiful.

What could be better than strolling down the banks of this historic river on a sunny day admiring the views. I t does not matter what side of the bank you are on the views are excellent. We would also recommend taking a river trip which takes approx. a hour to truly admire the views, architecture and the way within... More

The city of Porto is a wonderful place to spend time sightseeing, and experiencing local cuisine. The river Douro is a hive of activity with fabulous bridges spanning it's waters, and various cruisers carrying visitors up and down its colourful length, to enjoy the views. The best way to enjoy it is to go when the weather is mild but... More
