A great way to see and experience a very different side of Porto. If you're looking to see famous attractions and tourist sites, this is not your tour. If you don't like long walks, this is not your tour. Our group spent 4+ hours exploring Porto's east side - out of the main tourist zone. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable... More

We were taken on the tour by Gee, and it was incredibly enjoyable way to spend the afternoon and evening. Gee was very friendly and knowledgable about Porto, its history, its architecture, the places to eat like a local, drink like a local and the less beaten tracks around Porto that you'd never see sat on the top of a... I prefer to do my own research/learning/exploring rather than be herded on a banal tour of the "sights", so I was very pleasantly surprised by this tour. I loved seeing a different side of Porto, and my husband, who is a local politics, zoning, and urbanism junkie, was over the moon. This is a long walk off the beaten track... More

Great tour to see a side of the city most tourists would not usually see. Our guide was very knowledgable, funny and educated us on parts of Porto which I'm sure are excluded from other tours. Would highly recommend and will do it again myself.

I think our guide was Peter? He was very sweet but it felt like it was not planned at all. He was flying by the seat of his pants and making it up as he went. A route and getting the information across more smoothly would have been helpful. It was a good way to get out of the center... More

What a great opportunity! We took this tour half way through a month in Portugal. We learned a lot about non tourist Porto but also life in Portugal. Only 4 of us on the 4-5 hour tour (the other two were from Lisbon but kindly agreed to an English tour.) I love architecture, urban planning and history but this was... More

Our guide was so knowledgable about Porto, able to reveal so much about the city that we would never have discovered otherwise. We were able to access some amazing areas of the city that a normal tour would not take you and you won't find on your own, like the disused railway line with incredible views over the city centre!... I couldn't stop telling people about this tour. I've been on some good walking tours, but this tour was different. Don't come expecting it to be about the pretty and touristy sights of Porto. This is exactly why I loved this tour. The guide helped us to look at Porto with a different perspective and learn about the historical and... More

This blew me away. The enthusiasm (and friendliness, and intellect) of the guide, the parts of Porto that we saw that I can't imagine having seen any other way, the background of what we were seeing and why...all amazing. I recommend doing this the first day you arrive. You may well want to repeat it the following day (several people... More
