Jardim da Foz actually refers to the green garden section at the north end of the Avenue da Montevideu but as most reviewers have referred mainly to the whole area of Foz du Douro I will do the same. Foz is the seaside destination for the residents of Porto and is well worth a visit. If you are staying in Porto then a recommended round trip would be to take the no 1 vintage tram to where it stops, then through Jardim do Passeio Alegre to the start of the beaches. Then follow the seaside walk all the way to the end. At this point detour round the Sea Life centre to enter and walk through the Parque da Cidade do Porto. This is a very pleasant large green park with plenty of wooded areas for shade, and great to stroll through, especially in the heat of the afternoon. And then when you reach the eastern most exit you are not far from a couple of bus stops whose routes will take you back into Porto.

We walked along the sea side here. This is a lovely little park, very well manicured, south facing so nice & warm in the winter time (if it's sunny). There are some lovely little shops & cafes here too. A short walk to the end of the tram. Quite busy on Sundays.
