It is a perfect place to buy any alcohol drinks! Nice service, polite and very friendly staff! In a magic way they now what specific type of wine and port every client needs! If you want to try not only mass market drinks, but also small local producers, you should go there and I am sure, you will enjoy!

I have a little knowledge regarding Port and was looking for advice regarding smaller producers. The gentleman I spoke with was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and focused on helping me find the best products for my tastes, and not necessarily the more expensive choices. If you like Port and want to learn more this undoubtedly the best place to go... More

Perfect shop with a perfect stuff. There is one of the best prices in the city. There is wide choice of the wines. It is easy to find very old Port wine or wine from the small producer.

When I went to the shop I knew I was hardly buying any wine, due to extensive further travel arrangements. I explained that my visit was due to curiosity and desire to understand a bit more about porto wine. I travel solo with my 10 year old son who wouldn't be interested in cellar tours, any appreciable drinking is out... More

We visited this wine shop prior to going on a tour of the wine lodge. The chap was so helpful and offered us a couple of tastings. We bought bottles of port from smaller estates based on his advice. Apparently they also ship their wines. Great customer service and advice.

Very helpfull staff and a huge selection of wines - especially considering the size of the shop. Fair to cheap prices and bottles are packaged for travel :)

The shop assistant George was an excellent guide through the porto world. We entered the shop with the aim to buy 2 bottles and we left after one hour with 6 bottles. We never felt pushed and enjoyed talking to a big porto connoisseur George, while tasting different kinds of porto.

Dropped by the shop and the owner gave us a full explanation of the Porto wines available. He did let us taste a variety of wines too. He did not try to hard sell us expensive wines but rather wines that suit your taste instead. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Price of wine is very affordable. Got 3 bottles at a... More

I went to this shop after reading some reviews. I specifically wanted table wine rather than port wine as I was looking for a special gift for a friend. This lovely traditional wine shop has a wonderful selection of table and port wines. I wanted a very nice table red for a friends birthday gift, something local and not exported.... More

Many people read review and temper them with their experience. Garrafeira is more than true its factual. Not difficult to find (From the Sa Bento st, head up past the nightlife spots towards the large open space with an ornate church on one corner. Past the right and with street signs you should find it). If unsure, ask a friendly... More
