Very good. People were really nice. It was quite small compared to the Lisbon one, but had a lot to see and we took great pictures. Loads of little surprises. Well designed, in the beginning they let you sneak a peek into the main aquarium through these little windows, and when u catch sight of a massive turtle or ray, it's really magical. These places really need the visitors to be able to thrive so we spend a lot of money in the gift shop. The workers seem to be quite passionate about their animals. Some of the parts seemed to be closed/under maintenance which made it even shorter trip. But we got to see them feed the rays and the penguins. Overall we left really happy about the experience. Spent then some time in the cafe balcony soaking in the beach view. Also, great cheap parking.

I am very confused about those who say that Sea Life is not very exciting. We have been to a few aquariums in Canada that were way worse than this one. We thoroughly enjoyed Sea Life (I have 100 photos and videos to prove it).🤣 Each tank has a sign with information about what's inside, as well as plenty of information on the walls, and floor. All the information is available in Portuguese, French, Spanish, & English. Be prepared to spend a few minutes at each display, as some of the creatures like to hide. The tunnel is very exciting, as well as the kids' tunnel at the end. Adults will need to squat, or crawl, to get through. If you want to see the penguins, make sure you check the schedule before visiting. Unfortunately, we arrived just after the feeding and couldn't come back for the next one. The penguins don't seem very interested in coming out to play in between feedings, but we caught a glimpse of the one called Pumpkin. I highly recommend this aquarium for those interested in attractions like this, as well as those with kids of all ages.

I think that in August 2024 you pay an amount of 15 euros per person for access to the aquarium. Students do get a reduction (3 euros). We thought it was a nice experience and it was not too crowded. Especially the aquarium with the shark, turtle and ray were worth it. There were also plenty of other ocean dwellers to view and the aquarium is also very educational with an emphasis on ocean pollution. At the exit there is also a nice shop. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. Parking is ample in the nearby street. And then don't forget to explore the immediate area (there is an old fortress to visit).

I visited Sealife on a study visit with 2nd cycle students. Little friendliness at reception. We arrived early enough to attend the different lectures, but due to the delays of the reception staff we were unable to do so. We had no one to accompany our visit and, at the end, during the ray feeding, food was distributed to everyone present except our students. We were poorly received in the store and, when a student sat on a bench, he was told he couldn't. I'm sorry if you don't like the work you do, but since you are there, be professional and treat the children as they deserve. I don't recommend it nor do I intend to repeat it.

A great day...
We went there in the middle of August with our 7 year old son.
We stayed there 4 hours.
A very educational and well designed aquarium. A set of questions to learn more for children available in 4 languages (Portuguese, Spanish, English and French).
An outdoor playground and its snack that allows a nice little break.
The aquarium also has a restaurant with sea views.
A good time.

In case of bad weather, here is an activity that will appeal to the family. The welcome is very friendly. The aquarium itself is nothing extraordinary. Hunting species in the ponds with the app downloaded to your smartphone will entertain children. To fill the time dry when needed.

This is a lovely aquarium, not as large as the one in Lisbon, but quite impressive anyway. There were tanks with animals I'd never seen before, and some housing animals close up so visitors could really experience them. Everything was very clean and employees were kind and helpful. Worth at least a couple hours to wander and wonder.

We really enjoyed visiting this Sea Life. Yes, as others have said, it's a small aquarium but what really made the experience great for us was the enthusiasm and knowledge of the staff. My son hopes to study zoology, possibly marine zoology and a lovely lady working there was brilliant with him, giving him loads of information. He absolutely loved this Sea Life and we had to go back a second day! The ticket is for the day so you can go off out to walk along the beautiful beach at Matosinhos, explore the rockpools, visit Castelo do Queijo or go for some lunch and then return to Sea Life later for another wander around.

I visited with my 7 year old who lives aquariums. This is one of merlin entertainments venues so while it is excellent executed collateral including the brochure is exactly the same as their other 15 or so aquariums around the world. What set this apart for us was how friendly and helpful the staff were. My daughter had the opportunity to feel an urchin and a starfish while being told about the mouth etc. she also had the opportunity to feed the Rays (4pm daily). The signage to parking isn't great but if it's a sunny day then you can park underneath the huge roundabout outside which is cool and very convenient - just get into the inside lane and go around until you see the entrance on the inside of the roundabout.

Non je ne pense pas que vous aurez a faire la queue, nous avons pris les billets à l entrée mais il n y avait pas beaucoup de
monde . Et pourtant c, était au mois d' avril et dernièrement au mois de juillet.
C est vraiment un endroit à voir si vous n estes que des adultes et il y a à l extérieur ( c est nouveau ) un petit parc avec des pingouins
je vous souhaite beaucoup de plaisir.

Poco más de una hora, es muy pequeño. Al lado de la tienda hay un pequeño parque de bolas, si al niño le gustan mucho puedes sumar una media hora más.
