We were in Portugal for 10 days and having already researched and planned so much I just was toast by the time it came to researching Porto so I deep dived into all the tours available and they all felt generic and in groups. I was looking for a company with a twist. I read Sara's story and knowledge plus all these other reviews past customers left and knew I found our guide. Plus have you seen all her blogs! Just a wealth of knowledge and passion. We had two guides that day, Sara and new team member of hers who was ahhmazing with his knowledge. He led the first half and she the second for our 3 hour tour of Porto. It was my birthday that day and at the end we went to a café and had coffee and she surprised me with a dessert and them singing HBD in Portuguese. It made me feel like I was among friends on that day. I wish I had time to have booked more tours with her company. Cheers to our return and to her continued success.

Sara picked us up from our hotel in Porto and we visited two different wineries in the Douro Valley. She has incredible knowledge of the region and has developed real, personal relationships with the people running the wineries. During the tour we also stopped for lunch and had a delicious, authentic Portuguese meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and as an added bonus, she was able to drop us off at our second hotel in Douro Valley. We highly recommend a tour with Portoalities!

Wonderful tour of Porto from a local perspective instead of a repeat of a travel book itinerary. We were treated like royalty wherever we went. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Porto.

My friend and I booked a private day trip in the Douro Valley with Sara. Our guide, Tommy, was beyond wonderful. Not only was he an excellent driver, but also an excellent conversationalist, Porto native, and overall wonderful guide and person. We had a thoroughly enjoyable day visting two wineries, taking a cooking class, and learning about Porto, the Douro Valley, and all things about life in Portugal from Tommy. Could not have asked for a better day. Best experience! Would highly recommend booking a tour with Portoalities!

My family and I were fortunate enough to have a half-day private walking tour of Porto with Sara.
Sara has obviously conducted independent research on many of the sites we visited in Porto and has such a wealth of information to share with everyone. The information she passed along would never be learned on another tour, and I wouldn't even think to research some of it! Sara expertly navigated streets and crowds, many of which we would not have seen had we been on our own. She adapted the tour to our interests as we walked and kept a comfortable pace for the group, stopping to answer questions or point out areas of interest along the way.
We toured various locations in Porto, both historical (i.e. cathedrals) and modern (i.e. food market, bank). Sara helped me select canned fish to bring home and suggested accompanying food to eat with said fish. She also arranged stops at a couple of food vendors in the market so that we could sample their goods - and boy were they good!
Sara was extremely personable and easygoing. I made a point to stay by her side when we had to walk 2x2 so that I could ask her whatever random questions popped into my head. She was so kind and gracious and willing to answer any questions we had.
I really enjoyed my trip to Porto and hope to be back for another tour with Sara!

We did not end up booking a tour but I wanted to leave a review about my experience with Portoalities. I worked with Sara and she was so knowledgeable and helpful especially when it came to finding something that would engage our 2 young kids. Super quick responses and had a tour planned for us the same day we emailed her! Circumstances prevented us from actually booking it but I so wish we would have been able to. If I am ever back in Porto I will use their touring company. I highly recommend reaching out to Sara to help plan a customized tour.

We spent the better part of a day
last week with Sara, uncovering the mysteries of Jewish life in Porto pre-expulsion. Fascinating! Sara was a pleasure to be with and a font of knowledge and special insights. We could not have picked a better local guide!

Spent 2 lovely fun-packed days with the exuberant Sara last week. My wife and I were enchanted by our trip to Braga and Guimaraes, neither of which should be missed if you are in Porto. Since it was off-season, we had the castle and streets virtually to ourselves with Sara, who is a value-added proposition all on her own. She is filled with knowledge and insights and readily adapted the pace and tour content to meet our interests. To cap it off, Sara was also our food guide and arranged for a spectacular lunch that she shared with us at a family-owned restaurant. Cannot say enough good things about Sara. Book her tours!

Tommy was an excellent tour guide. He provided great communication prior to our tour and was a wealth of information during the tour. His knowledge and pride as a Porto native shone throughout the day.
I was a little apprehensive about booking a six hour tour and leaving an entire day of our trip up to someone else. However, it ended up being one of my favorite parts of our trip. I would strongly recommend booking a tour with Portoalities. You will not be disappointed.

The favorite part was learning so much from Tommy, our guide. He has such an incredible knowledge of Porto and his passion for this city truly shines through with every conversation. He knows so many stories and is so engaging when speaking about the history. As he said, "I don't have TikTok, but I DO have Wikipedia." If you get the opportunity, sign up for whatever tours you can because you will not be disappointed.
