Tommy our very friendly and enthusiastic tour guide picked us up from our hotel and took us for 2 private winery tours at family-owned estates. We also were able to stop by the tasting room at Qunta Pacheca which we had been wanting to see and enjoyed an authentic Portuguese lunch in between vineyard visits. I highly recommend using Sara's services! Tommy was a wonderful tour guide and went out of his way to ensure we enjoyed our day. I can't recommend this enough if you're in the Douro Valley and want to enjoy some wine tasting for a day without having to be concerned about the driving, not to mention we wouldn't have thought to go to these great wineries without Sara's recommendations! If I'm back in Porto or the Douro, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Sara again and use her services.

Sara collected us from our hotel and drove us through magnificent mountain scenery to visit a family-owned wine estate. We had a very informative tour followed by a wine and port tasting conducted by a charming member of the family. A traditional Portuguese restaurant lunch followed, after which we had a very scenic cruise on the Douro River. I thoroughly recommend this memorable day with Sara, who is both knowledgeable and kind in equal measure.

Sara is a friendly and enthusiastic guide, and her city tour was an excellent introduction to the history of Porto. She is very knowledgeable and set the scene for our holiday, but what we really appreciated was that when she realised that we were struggling a bit (Porto is all ups and downs!), she quickly suggested a coffee break at a beautiful cafe and adjusted the rest of the tour to our energy levels. She is, therefore, a very perceptive and sensible person and I highly recommend her!

The Portoalities 1/2 day tour gave the best insiders view of the beautiful city of Porto. We highly recommend this tour for anybody who wants to really understand the city and the history from a locals perspective. It was super fun like walking around the city with your friends and we laughed alot. The tour guides are all locals who have a very interesting perspective and give insiders views and tips that you wouldn't get from a normal touristic tour. Informative, fun and the best unforgettable experience of our trip.

I contacted Sara after reading her blog on the Douro Valley wine region to get a private wine tasting tour from Porto. There was a lot of back and forth between me and her because my friends schedules kept changing and Sara was beyond understanding. She modified our trip a few times to accommodate our group. On the day of, pickup was easy and Tommy, our guide was amazing. We had several private tastings and really got to understand the region and the wine. I’m from California and an avid wine drinker so I wanted a little more information and was met with as much knowledge as I could handle. A small hiccup on the trip happened when a tiny producer forgot to inform their tasting manager that we would be tasting. What made this memorable was not that we waited but that Tommy acted as translator while an older woman who worked at the facility was excited to share her history and passion with wine making. She even gave me grapes from her own farm that she picked for eating. Ot was such a special moment and impromptu. Highly recommend any tour with Sara’s planning.
