The exterior is impressive but the entrance lobby is a mass of fabulous blue tiling depicting several historical scenes, well worth viewing.

Worth a look on the way through, but if you are exiting Porto by train don’t make a special trip to see the station. Very good example of tile art.

Can't believe this is a railway station. The detail on the tiles are beautiful with each telling a story. Definitely worth a visit.

Both of the attractions describe the very same location and building. Combining these two under one heading (Rail Station Sao Bento) would remove any confusion TA users might face.

wether or not you are taking a train, stop into the lobby to see the beautiful blue and white tiles depicting historical Portuguese events.

Considering this is a working railway station in the centre of a busy city, this building is remarkably well kept. The blue tile wall murals are magnificent and well worth the visit.

We took the 3 hour train from Lisbon to Porto, which was very relaxing. The station Sao Bento was the first thing on our list, the blue tile work that depicts the history and art was amazing.

Bucket list location and mid Friday morning on a public holiday was hectic both with passengers, regular trippers and vast groups driving after guides wit little blue flags on socks. The entrance lobby is very impressive indeed. Go there.

The São Bento railway station in downtown Oporto is a beautiful piece of architecture, with lovely decorative blue “azulejos” (tiles) panels.
