This lovely square is actually Praca de Gomes Teixeira. In the center of the square is the stunning Fountain of the Lions. That is why the square is popularly known as the Square of the Lions. You can also find the beautiful church Igreja do Carmo next to the square.

This is a relatively small yet highly decorative fountain to be found in a largish square on the city tour walking route. Similarly co-located with the impressive barroque church et al there's plenty to see in this area and not just the fountain.
