In the medieval Vitória quarter of the city, at the edge of the tall rocky bank over the River Douro. this church stands on a previously Jewish community-owned land. Currently a Catholic parish church, it features impressive woodcarvings from the 18th century when it was redone, following a devastating fire.

..... delightfully characterful church with historic overtones to be found within the beautiful Ribeira district of Porto.

A most impressive structure that is one of the larger churches to be found.

Lots of other things to be seen nearby so a visit to this area is well worthwhile.
