A nice area away from construction
If you have time definitely check out the street of flowers otherwise known as Rua das Flores. This pedestrian only Street is filled with cafés, restaurants and little shops. There are buskers and artists filtered throughout as well. There is a lot of construction happening in Porto so being able to walk along the pedestrian designated street, was a treat, as it is away from all the noise and bustle of the restoration work that is happening in the other parts of the city.

    Nice but not great
This is a nice walking street in Port. It starts at the Sao Bento station, which is also worth a look with the nice blue tile interiour. There are countless restaurants and cafés along the way. Many of the great to watch the world go by. Some chain stores, some independent ones. It's a fun walk. It goes down to the Largo São Domingos, a pretty nice and busy square. But despite being a nice walk, there isn't really much to do or see. Even though busier, I felt that the Rua Santa Catarina offered more interesting shops and more sights. This street here is ok if you got some extra time on your hands. But I wouldn't call it a must-do.

    Nice street
Rua das Flores is one of the main streets of Porto. It's a lively street, full of souvenir shops, bars, and restaurants. It's worth taking a stroll, grabbing a drink, and, above all, enjoying the buildings with their balconies and facades.

Very nice pedestrian street that connects the upper parts of the city with the riverside area. It is lined with restaurants and traditional shops in historic buildings. This street really has, kind of a 19th century bourgeois feeling with old colorful buildnings adorned with many coat of arms and beautiful wrought iron balconies. Here is also the church Igreja de Misericordia with magnificent baroque facade. A picturesque street clearly.

During our week long holiday in Porto I thing that we walked up and down this street quite a few times. We had lunch one day at a restaurant on the street and we bought a number of items in shops on the street. Well worth visiting if you don't mind crowds.

We used this street a few times whilst in Porto. It was on route from our apartment to Sao Bento train station and the nearby tourist office where tours used to depart from. It was always a pleasure.

This such a nice and interesting street to walk down. Lots of shops and beautiful buildings; some with flowers adorning it. There was a parade with singing going down the street with us. A must do to take in the Portugal culture.

Porto is making a comeback, and so is its (arguably) most well known street - Rua das Flores. Café Jóia da Coroa at No. 213, has its exterior decorated with plastic floribunda in keeping with the name of the street, Street of Flowers. There are some nice shops and restaurants. We found a really great street artist selling his wares.
A lot of construction going on. Only going to improve in the future.

This is a charming and relatively short pedestrianised street near the city centre lined with the usual array of shops and restaurants. Quite pretty in its own right and a useful thoroughfare to get to other areas.
