I booked a family trip, with children, and I recommend it. I initially lost some time in research and comparisons, without deciding on a destination and concluded that it wasn't worth wasting any more time. They were super available, super attentive and patient, suggesting destinations based on what you were looking for, everything very well marked and explained. Price was reasonable and super satisfied with the service.

My husband and I recently returned from the Highlights of Portugal tour and were impressed every day with the beauty of the country and the kindness of the people. We were the only couple on our tour, so our trip became a private tour of Portugal. A delightful surprise! Vania from Portugal Travel Center took care of details large and small, while Pedro and Julio handled the day-to-day driving. Each of them had vast knowledge about the history and culture of each stop and were great company along the way. All of this became critical late in our tour when my husband fell and needed medical attention in Lisbon. Pedro made sure we went to a good hospital and stayed with us, translating with medical staff. He altered our plans to accommodate my husband's needs in the days following his fall. I don't know how we would have managed without him. Lucky you if you meet Pedro on your tour with PTC. Julio was our guide in northern Portugal and was also kind, fun, flexible, and knowledgeable. We knew we were in good hands with him. I can't think of a better way to tour Portugal than with Portugal Travel Center!

I have had the most wonderful experience possible booking with the Portugal Travel Center. I had lived in Portugal for three months forty years ago and wanted to revisit some of my old haunts. I contacted the Portugal Travel Center and Vania helped me book a trip that far exceeded my expectations. Excellent hotels, great transfers, and the most wonderful guide ever, Pedro. Highly recommend this service.

This was our first visit to Portugal with my husband. I had done other tours in Europe before, but this is by far the best tour we had used. We were the only couple in the tour, so it turned out to be private tour. The itinerary was very well planned. We saw a lot but we did not feel rushed, which was what I wanted. The guides were very knowledgeable with the history, kind and courteous. The vehicles used were all excellent, and the hotels booked were all clean, in convenient locations with great breakfast.
I booked Charming Portugal package and extended extra days in Cascais after that.
Portugal travel Center was very responsive to the questions I had and provided good advice on the extension for my stay. Communication with Pedro and team, all via email was always quick, smooth and clear.
I would highly recommend using Portugal Travel Center.
My husband and I had an amazing 2 weeks in this beautiful country with such rich history, great food, scenery and wonderful and kind people.

I had an absolutely wonderful trip. Everyone at Portugal Travel Center was very kind and extremely helpful and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and happy. Honestly, go to Portugal. It is absolutely beautiful and well worth visiting more than once. Again, I. highly recommend Portugal Travel Center.

The Azores are an incredible group of islands to explore, with some breathtaking views and wonderful food.
Our experience was good yet there were problems with our tour package that could have been handled better. There were multiple instances where the tours was booked at the wrong date or time. This meant we were waiting for ages for our tour guide or missed out on certain experiences.
It turns out that while Portugal Travel Center can arrange the package for you, they outsourced the logistics to a local business (OnTravel DMC), who then either run the day tours or book day tours with other local businesses. This made it very cumbersome to rectify any problems.
Whilst we did receive some refunds from the tours, it ultimately did not make up for the wasted time on our holiday, the stress or disappointment we experienced.
We would not recommend booking the Azores islands with this company.

I don’t like writing negative reviews but I need to warn others.
First, I booked a tour of Sintra and Cascais back in April for $176 euros. Over a month later I was informed no one could do the tour for that price but they could do it for $290 euros (same day, same tour, just a lot more money). Totally shady but I paid the extra money.
Second, we were sent a detailed itinerary for what sounded like a lovely day and exactly what we had paid for. The tour guide showed up. He had never seen the itinerary. He had no plan. The whole day was based on going to Pena Palace first which requires timed tickets. He didn’t have the tickets. All the times were sold out until 2p. And even though the tickets were included in the tour price we had to purchase them ourselves. It threw our whole day off. Eventually we got to see the castles and take a brief trip to cascais but we spent a lot of time driving around and we didn’t have time to stop for a lovely lunch as promised as we needed to get back to Lisbon for other appointments. The tour guide was a very nice man but also more like an Uber driver. Very quiet and didn’t share a lot of information about the locations we visited and didn’t join us on the visits to guide us.
We’ve booked private tours around the world and have never had this happen. Find a better tour so you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent 14-day tour to Madeira, Porto, Douro, and cities around Lisbon (Sintra, Evora). Daniela did a spectacular job arranging the tour, making adjustments to the itinerary to customize the trip to our preferences. The hotel choices and travel arrangements/transfers were all excellent. When we had questions while in Portugal, Daniela addressed them promptly. We will definitely book again with Portugal Travel Center and recommend their services to friends travelling to the Iberian Peninsula.

My family just came back from our 10 day private customized tour of Portugal, and from start to finish, the trip was absolutely perfect. We worked with Vania, who curated the tour for us. She gave us many options, but after a while, she clearly had good sense of my family's preferences, so then made recommendations. We're so glad we followed all her recommendations. For example, she suggested we have a driver take us from Lisbon to Porto and back so that we could see Obeidos, Nazare, Coimbra, and Tomar, and these were some of our favorites spots! Each guide and driver was extremely professional and highly knowledgeable. All the accomodations were perfect, and Vania made sure my mother had vegetarian food everywhere we went. Whatever type of trip you want to take in Portugal, I highly recommend you work with Daniela and her team!
