The city walls are very well conserved. You can have a great walk, and watch the city outside the walls, as well the small houses within the citadel. There you can find small restaurants and bars, the castle and the military museum. It is possible to park the car inside.

During the summer festivals, the medieval Fair is surely worth visiting. The jousts and the medieval tournments and stalls contribute help you relive ancient history and long gone rivalries between Portugal and Leon. Very theatrical and fun to watch and even participate.
