Nestled at the hilltop, many still would want to visit the place. It could be a kind of a pilgrimage or a way to visit the beautiful church in Braga. But do not worry there is the elevador to bring you to the top. Yes it is indeed beautiful. I bought one postcard to have its picture taken again to... More

The church is very nice, free and offers a lot of interesting details, but the star attraction is the stairs

This place is truly unique. The altar has a crucifixion scene made up of life sized carved figures unlike anything I've seen before. The stairs leading up to the church are reminiscent of the rooftop of the Cathedral of Milan with statues adorning every post and pillar. Quite beautiful. There's a restaurant at the top by the church which is... More

Amazing view to an amazing city! I advise you to visit Bom Jesus do Monte if you're staying in Braga for some days! It's worthy and it has an amazing view to the city. And don't forget to get a ride on the water moved elevator!

This is definitely the most visit place in Braga! If you are an adventurer, do climb the stairs up to the church. Each side of a set of stairs has a small chamber with scenes of Jesus Christ's life, it was interesting to see years ago, but sadly they are not well kept so you can see the degradation. If... More

This is an amazing place to visit just to see the labour and wealth that went into creating such a magnificent historic site.

Recommend if you are nearby to pick up some food and have a picnic in Sanctuary de Bom Jesus. You`ll find great picnic park to have a day off with family and friends where you can seat around and enjoy the fresh air, specially if it´s a hot day.. or you can go on a boat experience in a small... Well worth the visit. You can take the long gradual stairs up or ride up in the fincular powered by water. The ride up and back is 2€ per person. The majority of the walk up is shaded with large trees. There are stations of the cross along the way to to view. Well worth the visit

A must see, further on from bom Jesus, and particularly as the sun goes down. The views are tremendous and you will want to wait to see the sun set behind the mountains opposite.

We stopped here as part of a tour recently and it was so foggy we couldn't see much. But it made for great pictures! What we saw we did like! Recommended.
