There is not much to say about this place, except that it is a nice place to spend a few moments. At the end of the day, it is a fountain… as so many of them around the world. There is nothing to write home about… but a pleasant enough time to walk around, and suck in the atmosphere. OK…... More

...that people are talking about when they say, "you know, in the city center, by the fountain!" Cafe Viana is a nice spot as are the many shops, treats and more coffee nearby. Bus passes, beers, nightlife and locals living life in the square are all right here.

We stayed at a hotel nearby. By late afternoon and evening, the park started to fill up with people. There were families gathered around, kids playing, people catching up, having coffee and appertif. Shops, art galleries and restaurants were close by.

Whilst Braga is not as aesthetically pleasing to the eye as neighbouring Guimaraes, the fountains in the main square make for a pleasing vista

This has been the focal point of Braga for many years and it's where the Tourist Information office is located. There are arcades housing a couple of venerable coffee houses, fountains and lots of Christmas decorations in season........

This is the main praca of Braga. It's the starting point to discover Braga.Mostly it's quiet or there is some vibration. You have a nice vieuw over the place if you're standing on the arcades.

This is another tourist attraction that I visited with my wife it adds wow factor to the various attractions dotted around the town centre. There were so many beautiful sites to see and coupled with blistering heat all these made my visit here all the more memorable and enjoyable
