Pleasant hour spent walking around this little park and at the bottom you can walk along by the Lido. Nicely planted out and maintained and lots of things for little ones...crazy golf, play area etc. Little bar inside the park and toilets as well.

Only found this place on the way back to the hotel from the Forum shopping centre. So we went down the stairways to look at the gardens, its been well laid out on the steep banking. Again being here in March there was not a great deal to see in terms of floering plants. It was a quiet and relaxing area though, not many people about. Worth a look and enter the promenade at the bottom which took us back to the hotel.

Madeira is not known for Minigolf. Here you find the only one on the island, and fantastic surroundings. Tennis and other sports, and a nice restuarant make this an ideal family park to visit.

this newly constructed park on several terraces offers wide views over the lido area and atlantic and it,s modern garden architecture is a nice contrast to older madeira gardens.
i liked the cactus gardens and it has play areas for children as well

We walked through the gardens several times when out for a stroll. Although not many flowers out this time of year, the gardens are pleasantly laid out and attractive, with a nice view out to sea.

We visited this park while on a tour from Princess cruise lines. The views are quite nice of the Atlantic Ocean and Funchal. The park itself is nothing special but it is free and a great place for photos.

It's a nice garden to walk through but nothing more. The area is quite dead and empty when it's not the best tourist season in january. The vegetation was pretty much the same as anywhere else in Madeira.

If you were walking along the seafront you wouldn't even know this place is here. We heard the kids playing so went to investigate. There's trampolines and soft play for the kids, then paddel tennis and crazy golf. There's a snack bar too.
There are a lot of steps as the gardens are on several different levels. At the top is the main road Estrada Monumental. The gardens are beautiful with a lot of cacti, exotic plants and beautiful flowers. There are plenty of seats to just have a sit and enjoy it all, and of course a sea view!

This garden is nice to walk through on the walk back to the centre of Funchal. The beds are planted with a wide variety of flowers and trees, and is worth a walk up or down the gardens on the way back to funchal.

The park connects the main road along the coast from Funchal to Camara des Lobos and further on with the pedestrian only promenade at the bottom of the cliff. It's nicely laid out, a bit steep hill but that's normal by local standards.
