Try taking a tour around the Island on a jeep safari with this company who will sincerely look after you and care that you have a special day seeing what you Hope to see even if they change the intinary as they can be flexible. Nuno, our perfect tour guide and driver for the day once again provided us with a terrific day even taking us to a must see place that I wanted to visit again, Faja Dos padres which is reached by a cable car €10 for views, plantation and agriculture coffee shop, restaurant and dramatic mountainous scenery. The cable car goes from the top of the mountain to the bottom. Delightful serene place and you can stay there too.
Nuno, a terrific man, warm, friendly, passionate about our beautiful country, I say our country as we have been enjoying this giving Island for nearly 20 years.
Madeira is rich in majestic beauty and the South West trip is bountiful in its rare beauty. The jeep style trip will allow you to explore the delights of this floating garden. We entered the Paul Da Serra, the largest plateau in Madeira and enjoyed the southern slopes, our journey took in the roads scattered with waterfalls on the way to Sao Vicente. The majestic green of the hillsides contrasts with the crystalline blue of the ocean. Lunch was very good at the Farolin restaurant in Ponta do Pargo, lovely smart decor and friendly professional service.

I went for a private half-day tour with a group of friends today and even after 3 years living here, Miguel was able to show us some new places we have never seen before. Sure, there are more comfortable cars but the Jeeps give you the option to see areas that you wouldn't usually experience in a bus or Van. The prices are fair and the guides are very flexible and adjust the tour to your preference. The only feedback I would have is to equip the Jeeps with some radio or Bluetooth speaker, especially for longer trips as well as provide some water. I am sure to go again!

Booked via Safari Madeira Website prior to holiday which was easy to do and saved 10%.

West Island tour for three of us on Monday 3.7.23 and it was certainly a full day.

Our driver Miguel was funny , informative and made this a fantastic day with his humour and positive attitude.

A good selection of places visited and not rushed through the day.

Stopped for lunch at Porto Moniz which was €18 each for three courses, coffee and two bottles of wine, organised by Miguel in advance. A reasonable selection on the menu and no real complaints for the price.

The day included some single track roads and brilliant "off roading" but felt very safe with our driver. This trip allowed us to go places the large coach trips clearly couldn't get.

Finished the day with a stop at a small bar for inexpensive drinks.

Overall top marks Safari Madeira and thankyou Miguel for making our day one we won't forget....brilliant!

If I had any constructive feedback we would have preferred more time at Porto Moniz with lunch and the pools and less time at Seixal beach.

Highly Recommended!!!

Well today we took a personalised incredibly soulful journey across The beautiful, awesome and yes incredibly fascinating Madeira Island with our amazingly knowledgeable and experienced guide Nuno and I'm delighted to say I can call him a friend. He is charming, friendly, respectful and passionate about his beloved island. Today was a drive of delights tailored to what we wanted to see, hear, taste and smell. A journey for all our senses. The beautiful sparkling ocean is almost visible from every turn we made with a stop at the most charming fishing village of Camara Da lobos, great for a stroll and coffee. We could hear the sea crashing on the rocks in Machico a wonderful sea town with so much to see and enjoy and a fine bakery with the most delicious cakes and pastries on the Island I joke you not my friends. You must try. Obviously it is so much easier to see these delights with Safari Madeira on a jeep Safari. We travelled East and along the coast and high viewpoints and in the countryside in old roads and inaccessible roads to your usual bus tours. You must leave your Sun lounger and venture to the South, East, North and West corners of this beautiful gem and see it, taste it, smell it and hear it. It's a spiritual Island with some gloriously exhilarating and romantic places if you want to express your undying love for someone with a ring. There is nowhere quite as awe inspiring as proposing on bended knee with a mountainous backdrop as in Madeira. Your guides know these amazing places and their infectious enthusiasm to provide you with a tremendous experience is heartwarming. Madeira is lush, dramatic, floral and fascinating but your guides in this company are truly the best we have come across.

This was a great and very interesting trip. Our driver/guide, Paelo, picked us up from our cruise ship and gave a very knowledgeable commentary throughout the trip. Not only on the sights but also the life and living in Madeira. . The off-roading was a hoot and  very much enjoyed by us all. At the end of the trip Paelo dropped us back to our cruise ship.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable, fun experience.
As a note we booked this online and not via the cruise ship which worked out much cheaper than the company used by the cruise ship.

An excellent half day trip. John the guide was very friendly and informative being able to answer all questions. His driving skills were top class enabling him to take us off road which made the trip even more exciting. We wish this company all the best for the future and would highly recommend.

Silvio, was our driver and we did a tour of north of the island stopping off at several places on the Island for scenic photo opportunities and a stop at a traditional poncha bar/ cafe … the drink was freshly made and tastes great… don’t need many they are quite strong but really refreshing.
The tour also takes you off roading which is an experience in its self.
Silvio was a great guide and was very knowledgeable and passionate about the island of Madeira. Great morning and obrigado Silvio.

We have used the company before and this time chose the full day Laurissilva tour which we had not done before. The tour was excellent and interesting, with little overlap with other tours. We were particularly impressed by the ancient trees at Fanal, 11150m above Porto Moniz/Seixal - we had sun but were told they are often shrouded in mist, but still impressive.
Our guide was good, an excellent driver, but he did not give as strong a commentary as others.
Lunch was included in the price and was at a wooden cabin at Loretta de Laurissilva. On other tours lunch had been extra, and good value, but this one was a disappointment - cold garlic bread was not very appetising and the meat on the skewers was tough and gristly. Afterwards we stopped off at a poncho bar on the way back. That was much nicer!

Four of us (all over 65!) chose a day safari to see parts of Madeira we hadn’t visited yet. If you like a bit of excitement on the journey (off-roading), marvellous scenery and good local food and drink then it’s a great experience. Lino, our driver was knowledgeable about the island’s culture, Flora and farming history and was very entertaining as our guide. He took excellent care of us and made sure we thoroughly enjoyed the adventure!

The views were spectacular and we stopped in a number of places for photos, as well as the opportunity for poncha, rum and some history lessons. An all round excellent day, made even better by Lino’s commentary and lively leadership!

Just returned from Madeira. So very pleased that we chose this tour company. We had a wonderful full day jeep tour. Our guide was a lovely man called Miguel who was so much fun and so informative about the island.
Can highly recommend and we will be booking another trip with them to see the other side of the island when we go back to Madeira.
