- GausiTriesen, Liechtenstein175 contributionsImposing for football fansThe museum itself is nothing special, but it is certainly impressive what this fine gentleman has achieved. Undoubtedly one of the greatest players ever. Worth a visit for any football enthusiast - the entrance fee of EUR 5 is reasonable.Visited February 2024Traveled soloWritten February 16, 2024
- 881marktBrighton, United Kingdom9 contributionsA nice way to spend an hour in FunchalA really interesting insight to the player , for 5euros it’s wasn’t too much out of the pocket , a nice way to spend an hour in Funchal. had some nice personal touches from his young career to his current , with replica trophies of the abundance of career highlights. Don’t go expecting a guided tour , it is a hall that is well decorated but plenty of photo opportunities and artefacts are on display. A nice little gift shop in reception that had some nice itemsVisited February 2024Traveled soloWritten February 22, 2024
- fogstershadowKnottingley, United Kingdom360 contributionsWorth a lookAt only 5 euros per adult to enter, this place is cheap enough. I was amazed at how many trophies, match balls, medals, etc. were on display. If you're in Funchal and have even the most remote interest in football, what have you got to lose. Think we were in and out in less than 30 minutes, but thoroughly enjoyed it.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 29, 2024
- Cal MacCoventry, United Kingdom11 contributionsPerfect for a Football fanI visited this museum with my partner as he is a Manchester United fan, as you might guess I don’t share his enthusiasm for his team nor Ronaldo but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. Admission was only €5 each there was plenty to see despite it not being a huge museum and everything was spaced out nicely to avoid feeling overcrowded, there is also an opportunity to have your picture took at a cost of €5 with a virtual Cristiano Ronaldo which is a bit of fun for everybody that is a fan. When you come back up the stairs there is a gift shop with various items available for purchase. The CR7 cafe around the corner facing towards the sea front attached to the side of the museum do a nice latte macchiato and are reasonably priced too.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 17, 2024
- 123pixFalmouth, United Kingdom583 contributionsEnjoyable visit & plenty to seeWe enjoyed our visit to the CR7 museum, good configuration and a great display of awards ranging from golden boots to golden figurines. Photo opportunities for standing beside Ronaldo statues. Well worth the five euros entrance fee.Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 28, 2024
- Regina PHannover, Germany3,569 contributionsonly for fansThe €5 entrance fee is reasonable, but you shouldn't expect a "museum". There is just a large room in which the trophies he won during his career are on display. There are also several jerseys he wore, as well as some signed balls and shoes. As he was born in Funchal, it is certainly great to have such a monument to him. For those who are less enthusiastic about football, it is dispensable.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten June 14, 2024
- Silvia OBraga, Portugal4 contributionsI loved the cups, the prizes and the beginning of the best in the world.I loved everything, we took lots of pictures, The price of entry is affordable. The exhibition is very worth it . And quite interesting the whole story of cr7 .a very complete exhibition and if you like to know better the prizes and history about Cristiano Ronaldo, you will love it. I recommend visitingVisited July 2024Traveled with familyWritten July 24, 2024
- BenliegeLiege, Belgium197 contributionsTo the Glory of the Local Rising StarTo say Cristiano Ronaldo is everywhere (or almost everywhere) in Funchal is an understatement. The island's airport bears his name, his head is in all souvenir shops, and there is even a museum to his glory. So we went there with the son, to get our idea, and we finally discovered what we expected: a (relatively) large showroom with a raft of trophies, individual or collective, photos, vareuses, small films evoking its most beautiful goals etc, etc. Some better than others:-). It can’t be said to be terribly exciting, but for amateurs and children, the museum’s mission is accomplished. Let us remember that the boy was recruited at the age of 11 by Sporting Lisbon, and had to leave his home island to follow his training. At that age, his life must not have been rosy every day. The Award is democratic (5 euros), with the possibility to double the score by making a photo montage with the player in virtual. Curiously enough, the museum store is poor in merchandising, except for a few goodies engraved CR7. It should also be noted that the museum is located in a strategic location (below Ronaldo's Inn, which also bears his name), at the exit of the liners. No luck for us, the day we went there, a British boat had just arrived in the port, and we queued for a while with people proudly wearing the colors of their team... In the end, this museum is not a must, but remains fun..Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 18, 2024
- Road2221721 contributionNice HOTEL, nice and well located, but very noisy neighborhood at night!Beautiful environment for this beachfront Inn, very pleasant Check-out point to discover Funchal and the island, we walk along the sea to reach the city center just a few minutes walk. Shops, restaurants, markets, public transport, everything is easily accessible. Terrace, beautiful infinity pool (hours could be extended in summer?), quality breakfast buffet, comfortable room and bedding.... EXCEPT...... we unfortunately suffer the night and repetitive parties of the establishment opposite, the Jin Garden!!! Without worrying about the neighborhood, the music screams on the outdoor terrace all night, right in front of the Inn rooms!! it's a shame for CR7 guests! To avoid therefore if you want quiet nights ....Visited July 2024Traveled on businessWritten September 5, 2024
- Kati S351 contributionsNice insight, but not an absolute mustIt was really a nice insight without queuing. However, only a must for absolute football fans. I would have liked more information, especially whether all balls and jerseys are originals. Otherwise it was really nice, especially as a tribute, as Cristiano is from FunchalVisited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 12, 2024

We went to see this museum dedicated to Christiano Ronaldo. Have to say it was great value for money. Only €5p.p entrance. You can take as long as you like inside there (would recommend 45mins to an hour) and take as many pictures as you like, and just to see what this guy has achieved is amazing. The trophies, medals, shirts etc was unbelievable, even down to his fan mail that’s on display. You can see why he is the most successful footballer the world has ever produced.
Would recommend a visit for any football fan (especially if you love Ronaldo), even if you’re not keen of football still pop in and have a look.

My friend and I who is a massive Man U supporter visited the CR7, the museum is not that big just one floor so can easily see everything within 45 mins.
My friend found the museum very interesting, I enjoyed the getting a photo with the Ronaldo manikin.
Only negative was the museum wanted to charge an extra €6 for two tickets if we paid by card, however if you purchase something from the gift shop there was no charge for using card.

We went here last week to get photos of the exhibits for our 10 yr old grandson who is a big ronaldo fan it only cost €5 each to go in and I photographed all the exhibits for him and sent them to him while we were away and he was thrilled with them. They also sell t shirts in a wee shop at the side of the desk. Well worth the money if you are interested in football

Good way ay to kill an hour and must for any football fan.
Museum isn't quote the right description, more a large trophy cabinet displaying the various medals and awards he has won and replicas of the trophy's the teams he has played for has won.
would have been nice if there had been more about the person and the early years of living on Madeira .
5 euro entry which is reasonable, if you have been on the big red sightseeing bus keep your ticket for 20% of entry.

We are football fans but we are not particularly fans of Cristiano Ronaldo but felt we should visit this museum whilst on Madeira. We weren't disappointed. The museum gives you a great overview of the career of the player and showcases his remarkable achievements in football. NB we showed our City Sightseeing Tickets which gave us a €1 reduction pp on the ticket price which is only a very reasonable €5 ordinarily.

My wife and I are Ronaldo fans. If you go to Madeira and you are a football fan, even if you're not a fan of Ronaldo, this museum is still a must see. As the home of Ronaldo this museum takes on a different meaning with all the good things Ronaldo has done for the Portuguese people. All proceeds from the museum go toward charities (except the salaries of the staff and operating costs). The displays are interesting and the championship trophies and awards given to Ronaldo and his teams can only be seen here.
A special feature is an interactive 3D photo device where you can have a very life-like Ronaldo put his arm around you in the picture or dribble a football with you, for a fee, of course. It's worth the admission fee. Very reasonable.

Not a CR7 fan at all BUT do respect and admire his achievements. The museum is a bit strong at 5 euro although you can see replica trophies galore and a few signed shirts boots etc. Tacky gift shop selling cr7 sunnies t shirts aftershave etc. Bit of a james bond theme running throughout.

Had to come here and it’s only €5.
An average successful footballer would have his trophies and match balls in a room at his home.
Ronaldo has too many for that.
It’s a very impressive trophy cabinet but,as has been said, disappointing that they didn’t widen it out and include more about Ronaldo the person

Utilised the free tickets as part of the packaged holiday. As a football fan I found the museum an interesting place. On the day of visit there were mostly young & male visitors.
There are collections of medals and other memorabilia including golden boot and other awards, photographs and correspondence from fans from around the world. It’s very well put together & a great place where all his memorabilia can be safely stored & be shared with the public.

Basically a giant trophy cabinet. Not one single piece of information anywhere telling you anything about what you are looking at.
You walk around in about 10 mins, look at all the trophies and leave. Pretty poor “museum”.
€5 per person to get in, min card spend is €15 which is a pretty odd decision to make as place seemed mostly full of couples!

Hi everyone,
We are visiting Madeira Saturday 29th April until Monday 1st May. My son is desperate to go to the Ronaldo museum but there is differing information about opening times. We've been told on the phone by the museum that it is closed Saturdays? And our tour guide told us it is closed on the public holiday (1st May)? We are really confused, someone please help!
Thank you

I went on a Wednesday so not sure about Bank Holidays. I would definitely attempt going on the Saturday being the most likely of being open. Good luck.

How far is this museum away from where the RC liners dock? Is it far away? Thanks in advance

You're more or less on the dockside so maybe a 5 minute walk once off the liner

Are the signed shirts real? I went to the museum the other day and they are selling signed shirts for around €150, this is far below the €500 minimum market value of Ronaldo signed shirts from authenticated memorabilia sites...
Are these shirts real or fake? Was thinking of buying one to take home that’s all!
Written August 8, 2019
Hi, I’m currently staying in Funchal and went to the Museum a couple of days ago, I saw they were selling an array of shirts sold by Ronaldo...
...I was wondering if these are real, as €140 seems incredibly cheap for a shirt signed by the man himself, on memorabilia sites these can be €500 minimum from his Real Madrid and more recent Juventus years...
...was thinking of buying one but seen a review on here that someone bought one, sent it to an authentication firm and they said it was fake, which I would be surprised about given it’s his official museum, but the price of these shirts does seem really cheap...
Can anyone help me?
