Wow what a monastery! It felt like going back into time! Our guide was so enthousiast she mesmerized the entire group! It is really the place to go and you only pay €2,- p/p.

Monastery from 15th century. Nice guided tour in english, not too slow. Beautiful altars, chambers for nuns and novises, inner garden, tiles and paintings, church. Tomb of Zarco and his family.

It's quite a trek uphill but the gardens are well kept and it's very peaceful. Different species of orchids are grown there. Lovely tea room just opposite in University building.
