Explore the natural wonders of Funchal without having to do hours of research by going on this action-packed jeep trip. See vineyards and volcanic caves at São Vicente, get the chance to swim in natural pools at Port Moniz, and access incredible views from Cabo Girao. The tour is a great way to get off the beaten track and find sights of outstanding beauty that you might not discover alone.

We bought tickets on the Yellow hop-on-hop-off bus and this is one of the stops along the route. The bus stops for a few minutes for you to take photos, but if you don't get off the bus and have a walk around, you are missing the best of the views. Simply walk up the hill, through the car park and gardens and you come across a viewpoint across the whole of Funchal. It's superb and not to be missed! There is a cafe at the top - you can sit back and take in these views. Highly recommended!

We found this place by accident while travelling back from Valley of the Nuns. You could easily spend an hour or more here because aside from a fantastic view, there's places to eat, buy souvenirs and walk about the landscaped gardens. We were surprised how few people were here and it felt more like a park than a lookout.

Visited this viewpoint on the Yellow Bus and also when we had a private car excursion. Did not get off bus so saw only half of view. Then visited with car and saw the opposite side and also were able to use the free toilets.

Well worth a visit on a clear day. Easy to get to if you use the red bus tours, toilets and cafe at the site.
