Small garden but beautiful. 1 euro to enter. Lovely well kept garden. Over looking the sea. Only takes about half hour to walk round. Well worth the euro! Don't miss it if you are in Funchal.

well planned, colourful with trees and plants with a lovely pond and fountain with Three white swans and ducks. neatly maintained paths. Antique Steam roller on display. well set out children's play area.looking onto the Cruise terminal. has memorial statue for Christopher Columbus.
Lots of history attached to this place, it's been the home if several famous people. The grounds are worth a visit in themselves with magnificent views over the harbour. There's an aviary too. Inside is beautiful too, rather like a museum if Madeiran history.
This is the President's garden. Small & beautiful. Great views over harbour. 1 Euro each to enter...well worth it.
the gardens of the palace of the president of Madeira are daily open and free to visit. I liked the formality a contrast to the more informal santa Catherina park next door also on avenida do infante.
Beautiful gardens and tended lovingly by gardeners. Good views from the gardens and loved the parrots.
Please see my review of the Presidential Palace Gardens because it is another name for Quinta Vigia.
Relatively small garden but absolutely packed with well tended flowers and shrubs. Very exotic. Stunning views across Funchal Bay make it the perfect place for a visit.
