Public transport out of Funchal is generally very good in our experience, but we decided to book 3 yellow bus tours on this visit: Funchal and Camara de Lobos & Cabo Girao (3in1 ticket for 15 Euros each - valid for 48 hours from first use - all hop on hop off) and Northwest Coast (23 Euros each - approx... Yellow bus in Funchal has two lines and you can go through Funchal centre, reach Camara de Lobos and after changing the bus to reach Cabo Girao by minibus. The buses go from 09:00till 18:00 The audioguide in Russian is stylistically terrible and sometimes it's not clear what kind of fish it means. When you are waiting one yellow bus... More

The bus tour is very practical,if you find walking around to look at everything has to offer a bit of a struggle ,as Madeira has a lot of hills some are quite steep,so the bus tour is excellent for everyone.its a great way to see everything, there's earphones on board so you can hear all the history of Madeira ..we enjoyed... It took 2 hours to be stopped in the suburb when the bus broke down. The man said nothing to no one in the bus, just stopped it and waited. We waited for long each bus stop in the town. The phones audio works very badly. Compare to the great service level in Madeira, this is really the baddest one... More

The 3 in 1 ticket that is valid for 48 hours is fantastic value for money. The yellow route is just Funchal and the blue route takes you to the beautiful fishing village of Camara de Lobos and from there you can get a mini bus to Cabo Girao. The buses run every 35 mins and you can get on... More

We bought the two day pass €15 each hop on and off as many times as you like.Went all around the island (south side) to all the small local areas, next day went right up to the second highest sea cliff the world and stood on the glass observation platform. The view is to die for and the smell of the eucalyptus... We had the 48 hour tickets. Yellow tour of Funchal interesting but possibly some areas you have seen on foot. Blue route more interesting with stop at Camara de Lobas lovely little fishing village. Plenty of time for a stroll around. You can then get another small bus from there to Cabo Girao where if you are brave enough you... More

Great driving in what seems to be very dangerous roads close to cliff sides and down narrow streets - felt safe under our driver and views were incredible and unmissable. The bus took us to a fishing village in itself was a great visit but also led to the glass platform in Madeira which provided great views again and a... More

tickets valid for 48 hours. So great for hopping on and off. There are 3 tours. The yellow tour goes around Funchal and the blue tour goes to a fishing village. From the village you can get a minibus to a lookout point. Excellent value for money. Great fun.
