There are some lovely pieces of furniture, China, jewellery, silver and artworks in the museum with descriptions in different languages in each room. The gardens are beautiful with fish ponds, orchids and exotic trees. Wonderful views over Funchal to the sea and also up to...More

I liked the collection of the museum but the accompanying information is very scarce. What they could do to really improve the experience is to have the employees to do the guided tours. Now they were just chatting with each other, oblivious to the visitors....More

We walked up to the Quinta musuem & gardens (all uphill !) & found quite small, peaceful gardens with lovely views but needing a lot of investment & TLC. Unfortunately the chapel was closed while we were there. The museum has a lot of artefacts...More
