These pretty city gardens are beautifully maintained, very neat and tidy and an oasis of calm in the middle of the city. When we visited, the park was decorated for Christmas and looked very attractive.

These gardens are privately owned, and belong to a hotel. You are welcome to visit. They are well maintained with good views over Funchal. There is no fee to enter. The terrain is not suitable for push chairs or people with walking problems.

On a sunny day this is the ideal place to relax and see it all in one place. The amazing weather in Madeira is creating year round beauty and this is the place to enjoy it.

A nice garden to sit in and people watch,Craft Market Saturdays, Convenient for Taxi rank and Blandy's. Sit in the Park and listen to the music being played outside the Ritz Cafe over the road

If you are strolling around Funchal, it's worth taking a stroll around this small garden, although it's nothing to write home about.

We just stumbled across this park while waiting for the shuttle bus back to our cruise ship (The Azamara Journey). It was so beautiful and peaceful that we went back later to spend more time (once we realized we could reach it on foot from the cruise dock).

The flower beds in the terraces are lovely and well maintained There are some huge trees I suspect they come from all over the world particularly the former Portuguese colonies.it is possible to enjoy a coffee and a snack, or if the sun is "over... Pleasant shady garden in the middle of the city. Some market-type stalls at weekends. Tends to be used by homeless people, too.

Have visited on a couple of weekend evenings, to be surprised by good quality entertainment. These events seem to be mainly attended by locals and I had not noticed any advertising. The cafe in the park is good value for drinks and snacks, if you are lucky enough to get a seat. A very enjoyable evening of music and entertainment... More
